Evli Bireylerde Problemli İnternet Kullanımı ve Evlilik Uyumu

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı evli bireylerde problemli internet kullanımının evlilik uyumuna etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla çalışmaya 198 (%55.8) kadın, 157 (%44.2) erkek olmak üzere toplam 355 evli birey gönüllü katılım sağlamıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak 'Problemli İnternet Kullanımı Ölçeği' ve 'Evlilik Uyum Ölçeği' ile birlikte araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu' kullanılmıştır. Veri analizleri nonparametrik yöntemlerden Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskall-Wallis H testi ile gerçekleştirilmiş, ayrıca demografik değişkenlerin ilişki değerlendirmelerinde ise Ki-kare bağımsızlık testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre evlilik uyumu ve problemli internet kullanımı cinsiyete ve evlenme şekline göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Evlilik uyumu ile yaş, sosyoekonomik düzey, evlilik süresi ve çocuk sahipliği değişkenleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Problemli internet kullanımı ile sosyoekonomik düzey, eğitim düzeyi, evlilik süresi ve çocuk sahipliği değişkenleri arasında anlamlı fark bulunmaktadır. Evlilik uyumu ve problemli internet kullanımı ölçeklerinin toplam puanları ve alt boyutlarından alınan puanlar birbirleriyle istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkiler içermektedir. Buna göre, evlilik uyumu ölçeği toplam puanı, anlaşma ve ilişki tarzı alt boyutları ile problemli internet kullanımı ölçeğinin sosyal fayda alt boyutu arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki elde edilmiştir.

The main purpose of this resaerch is to analyze the effect of problematic ınternet use on marital adjustment in married ındividuals. For this purpose, 198 (55.8%) female and 157 (44.2%) male volunteers participated in the study. Research data was obtained by using 'Problematic İnternet Use Scale', 'Marital Adjustment Scale' and 'Personal İnformation Form' which prepared by the researcher. Data were analyzed by non-parametric methods Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H tests, in addition, Chi-square independence test was used to evaluate demographic variables. According to the findings, marital adjustment and problematic internet use did not show a significant difference according to gender and marital status. Significant differences were found between marital adjustment and age, socioeconomic status, duration of marriage and child ownership. There is a significant difference between problematic internet use and socioeconomic status, education level, marriage duration and child ownership. On the other hand, there is not a significant difference between problematic internet use and age. The total scores and subscales of marriage adjustment and problematic internet use scales have statistically significant relationships with each other. Accordingly, a significant negative correlation was found between the marital adjustment scale total score, agreement and relationship style sub-dimensions and the problematic internet use scale's social benefit sub-dimension.
