Abstract
Bovine Leukemia Virus (BLV) was detected in blood sera and leukocyte samples of 5 of 50 (10%) dams and 5 of 11 (45.4%) calves of Enzootic Bovine Leucosis (EBL) suspected herd by ELISA. All of the samples were also tested by nested-PCR for detection of proviral BLV DNA in which 5 of 50 (10%) dams and 3 of 11 (27.2%) calves were positive for BLV specific 341 bp product. This is the first report of (EBL) in calves in Turkey. © 2015 Zoological Society of Pakistan.
