Ali Şeriati'nin Dinler Tarihi Çalışmalarının Metodolojik Açıdan Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

ÖZET ALİ ŞERİATİ'NİN DİNLER TARİHİ ÇALIŞMALARININ METODOLOJİK AÇIDAN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ Hazırlayan: Yılmaz YUMAK Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, Felsefe Ve Din Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı, Yüksek Lisans, Şubat/2016 Danışman: Doç. Dr. Cengiz BATUK Bu araştırmadaki amaç, Ali Şeriati'nin özellikle dinler tarihi alanındaki çalışmalarının, bu alana kattığı katkısını ve dinleri anlamada kullandığı metodlara yeni bir perspektif kazandıran fikirlerini esas alarak, dinsel gelenekleri incelerken uyguladığı metodolojilerin sınırlarına bağlılığını sorgulamak ve O'nun dinleri anlamadaki asıl hedefini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Söz konusu sorgulamayı iki amaç çerçevesinde yapmaya çalıştık. Birincisi, dini kavramları yorumlamada farklılığı ortaya koymak, ikincisi ise dinleri anlamada uyguladığı metodolojileri sorgulayarak, ulaştığı sonuçları irdelemektir. Bu bağlamda yukarıda ifade ettiğimiz amaçlara ulaşmak için, tezimizin giriş bölümünde din ve metodoloji kavramlarının tanımlarındaki ve dine olan yaklaşımlardaki problemleri göstermeye çalıştık. Birinci bölüm de genel olarak İslam dünyasında ve Batıda yapılan dinler tarihi çalışmaları hakkında genel bilgi vermeyi uygun gördük. Şeriati'nin çalışmalarının amacını görmemiz açısından bu çalışmaların hangi amaçlara hizmet ettiğini anlamaya çalışarak, Şeriati'nin dinler tarihi çalışmalarında yararlandığı kaynakları ve genel olarak incelediği dinleri gösterdik. İkinci bölümde ise, Ali Şeriati'ye göre din kavramını etimolojisi ve tanımı yönünden irdelerken, Şeriati'nin din ve dolaylı olarak dinler tarihiyle ilgili kullandığı kavramlara yer vererek, O'nun din anlayışını anlamaya çalıştık. Bu bölümün en önemli konusu olan Şeriati'nin incelediği dinleri ve incelerken kullandığı metotları ortaya koyarak, dinleri nasıl sınıflandırdığını ve klasik dinler tarihçilerine göre farklılıklarını ve benzerliklerini göstermeye çalıştık. Üçüncü bölümde ise, Şeriati'nin dinleri tanıma ve anlamada kullandığı metodolojilere bakışını ve bu konu da nasıl bir metodoloji önerdiğini ortaya koyduk. Sonuç bölümünde ise, genel olarak Şeriati'nin dinler tarihi çalışmalarının metodolojik açıdan değerlendirmesini yaparak tezimizi sonuçlandırdık. ABSTRACT METHODOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF THE WORKS OF ALI ŞERIATI ON THE HISTORY OF RELIGIONS Student's Name And Surname: Yılmaz YUMAK Ondokuz Mayıs University, Institute of Social Sciences Philosophy and Religious Studies, Master Thesis,February 2016 Name of the Supervisor: Doç.Dr.Cengiz BATUK The main focus of this work is the contribution of Ali Şeriati to the study of history of the religions on this field and the methodology used by him in the field of investigating the religious traditions which brings a new perspective to the methods for understanding of religions meanwhile interrogate the borders of his methodology and Show the main aim of him for understanding the religions. I try to apply this interrogate on the base of two aim. First is to Show the differences among the comments used for religious concepts, second is to criticize the outcomes that results from the methodologies used for understanding of religions. İn this manner, to reach the aims talked above; in the entrances of this thesis, I talk about the problems in the definition of two concepts: religion methodology and in the approaches toward the religions. In the first chapter, the issue talked on is information about the studies on the history of the religions performed by both İslam Geography and the West. In order to understand the purpose of A. Şeriate's Works, I try to make clear the purpose for which his studies serve. Also in the same chapter I point at the sources A. Şeriati has used for he study of the history of religions and the religions that has been generally searched by him. In the second chapter, while I am criticizing the concept of etymology and the definition of the religion, I try to understand the A. Şeriati's sense of his religion by discussing the concepts used by A. Şeriati about history of religions. I try to show the way how Ali Şeriati classify the religions; the differences and similarities between Şeriati' methods for seeking a religion against the classical religion historian by analysing the religions investigated by Şeriati and the methods used by Şeriati for seeking history of religions that forms the most important part of this work. In the third chapter, I bring up the view of Seriati to the methodologies used for recognizing and understanding the religions and the methodology suggested by him about this subject. At last but not least; I bring my thesis to a conclusions by evaluating Şeriati's works on the history of religions in the term of methodology.
