Resim-iş Öğretmenliği Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Anasanat Atölye Tercihlerindeki Farkındalıklarının İncelenmesi ve Tercih Sürecine Yeni Bir Yaklaşım Önerisi: Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Örneği

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Resim-iş öğretmenliği bölümü öğrencilerinin, anasanat atölyesi tercihlerine yönelik farkındalıkları ve tercih sürecine etki eden etkenler incelenmektedir. Anasanat atölye, öğrencinin eğitim sürecinin üçüncü yarıyılından başlayarak, tercihi doğrultusunda bir alan üzerine mezun oluncaya kadar öğrenim gördüğü bir ders konumundadır. Eğitim sürecinin altı yarıyılını etkileyen bu tercihin, öğrenci adına en doğru haliyle gerçekleştirilmesinin gerekliliği, araştırmanın başlangıç nedeni olmuştur. Bu araştırma ile öğrencilerin anasanat atölyesi tercihlerine yönelik farkındalıklarının yükseltilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, öğrencilerin mevcut durumları ve bu durumu etkileyen etkenlerin ne olduğunu belirlemek adına, araştırmanın örneklem grubu olan Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Resim-İş Öğretmenliği bölümü 2021-2022 bahar yarıyılı birinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri ve 2022-2023 güz yarıyılı birinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri ile anket yapılmıştır. Anket, Google Formlar aracılığı ile gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde elde edilen veriler, SPSS programına aktarılarak, tablo haline getirilmiş ve bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Bulgularda, birinci ve dördüncü sınıf olmak üzere iki grup öğrencilerinden toplam 133 katılımcının, sadece 54 tanesinin anasanat atölyesi tercihinin öncesinde atölyeler hakkında bilgi edinebilme durumuna olumlu yönde cevap verdiği görülmektedir. Bu oran genel katılımcıların %40'ını oluşturmaktadır, geri kalan %60 ise atölyeler hakkında bilgi edinebilme durumuna olumlu yönde cevap vermemektedir. Bu oranlar, araştırmanın problem olarak gördüğü konuyu somut bir hale getirerek, problemin varlığını göstermektedir. Dördüncü sınıf katılımcılarına yöneltilen, anasanat atölye tercihinizi tekrar yapıyor olsaydınız tercihinizi değiştirir miydiniz sorusuna, 78 öğrenciden 47 kişi tercihinden memnun olduğu cevabını vermektedir. Kalan 31 öğrencinin, 20 tanesinin tercihini değiştirmek istediği, 11 tanesinin ise bu konuda kararsız olduğunu belirttiği görülmektedir. Bu sonuçtan genel toplamın %39,7 sinin tercihinden memnun olmadığı anlaşılmaktadır. 4 yıllık eğitim sürecinin sonuna gelmiş olan bu öğrencilerin, tercihlerini yaparken daha bilinçli olmalarının bu sonucu olumlu yönde etkileyeceği düşünülmektedir. Araştırmanın sonucunda bu mevcut durumun iyileştirilmesine yönelik öneriler sunulmaktadır.In this research, the awareness of art teaching department students regarding their main art workshop preferences and the factors affecting the preference process are examined. Main art workshop is a course that the students studies starting from their third semester until they graduate in a field of his choice. The necessity of making this choice, which affects six semesters of the education process, in the most accurate way on behalf of the student, was the reason for the beginning of the research. This research aims to raise students' awareness of their main art workshop preferences. For this purpose, in order to determine the current situation of the students and the factors affecting this situation, survey was conducted the sample group of this research, Ondokuz Mayıs University Art Teaching Department 2021-2022 spring semester first and fourth grade students, and 2022-2023 fall semester first and fourth grade students. The survey was conducted on a voluntary basis via Google Forms. The data obtained during the research process were transferred to the SPSS program, tabulated and the findings interpreted. In the findings, it is seen that only 54 of the 133 participants from two groups of students, first and fourth grade, responded positively to the opportunity to obtain information about the workshops before choosing the main art workshop. This rate constitutes 40% of the general participants, the remaining 60% do not respond positively to the possibility of obtaining information about the workshops. These rates make the issue that the research sees as a problem concrete and show the existence of the problem. When asked to the fourth grade participants whether they would change their choice of a main art workshop again, 47 out of 78 students answered that they were satisfied with their choice. It is seen that of the remaining 31 students, 20 of them stated that they wanted to change their preferences and 11 of them stated that they were undecided on this issue. From this result, it is understood that 39.7% of the total are not satisfied with their choice. It is thought that the fact that these students, who have reached the end of their 4-year education period, are more conscious when making their choices will affect this result positively. As a result of the research, suggestions are offered to improve this current situation.
