dc.description.abstractIn addition to providing high-quality images and sound in the field of broadcasting, digitalization has also greatly changed content production processes. With this transformation, analog broadcasting was replaced by the digital coding system. Digital platforms interacting with new media have created significant changes in both content production and audience habits. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the transition process of television broadcasting from traditional to digital and to evaluate the functionality of digital broadcast platforms that emerged in this process. Additionally, the transformation in audience habits is also addressed with these platforms. As a result, with the effect of digitalization, television broadcasting has become a versatile and interactive communication tool rather than just a broadcasting medium. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.en_US
