We reviewed the articles in the literature investigating the structure, mechanism of effect and experimental usefulness of nesfatin-1. We entered the word “nesfatin” to medical databases and reviewed the literature. Administration of nesfatin-1 maintains a signifcant reduce in food intake. Its effectiveness in rats is proven. More and more, new researches are in progress to determine its exact mechanism of effect. Nesfatin-1 is a satiety agent.
