Abstract

Teknolojinin inanılmaz bir hızla gelişmesi sonucu, geniş ailenin, yerini çekirdek aileye bırakması sürecinde; nesilden nesile aktarılan halk edebiyatı ürünlerinin yavaş yavaş hafızalardan silindiği, derlenmediği takdirde de kaybolup gittiği görülmektedir. Halk Edebiyatına ait örneklerin derlenmesi, sonraki nesillere aktarılması ve bu sayede millî değerlerin korunması, milletin devamlılığı için büyük önem arz etmektedir. Anadolu halk edebiyatının bir parçası olarak, Vezirköprü yöresine ait sözlü edebî ürünlerin ortaya çıkartılıp yaşatılması ve bunların sosyal değişimden fazla etkilenmeden korunması da yeni neslin bu ürünleri tanıması ve sahiplenmesi açısından oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın arkasındaki temel amaç, Vezirköprü'nün kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş geleneklerini, göreneklerini, örf ve âdetlerini gün yüzüne çıkarmak, yok olup gitmesine engel olmaktır. As a result of technological developments that have paved the way a dire change in the structure of traditional society, folkloric works of art have started to vanish from the memories of the people unless they are not compiled. There is no doubt that compiling folkloric works and passing them from one generation to another to preserve national values are extremely important for the continuity of the society. Therefore, unearthing and preserving the works of oral literature in Vezirköprü region as a part of Anatolian folk literature will bring the new generations' attention to folkloric works and enable them to embrace these works. The main objective of this study is to unearth the traditions, the manners and the customs of Vezirköprü and prevent them from falling into oblivion.
