Sinop İl Merkezi Katı Atıklarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Ill ABSTRAKT Katı atıklar, Türkiye' nin birçok yerleşim biriminde olduğu gibi, Sinop il merkezinde de en önemli çevre sorunlarından birisidir. Yaklaşık 50.000 nüfuslu Sinop kent merkezi doğal güzellikleri nedeniyle turizm potansiyeline sahiptir. İl merkezinden toplanan katı atıklar, Sinop Yarımadası' nın kuzeybatıya bakan yamacına, kontrolsüz olarak gelişigüzel bir şekilde bırakılmakta, adeta denize dökülmektedir. Yörenin iklimi ve turistik potansiyeli de dikkate alındığında bu uygulamanın çok ciddi problemlere neden olduğu bir gerçektir. Bu çalışmada, Sinop il merkezinden kaynaklanan katı atıkların özellikleri ve mevcut katı atık depolama alanının çevresel etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla katı atıkların miktar, kompozisyon, nem içeriği, birim hacim ağırlığı ve enerji içeriği belirlenmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilerek Sinop il merkezi katı atıkları için optimum bertaraf modeli önerilmiştir.IV ABSTRACT Solid wastes are the most important environmental problem in the city center of Sinop as in many residential units of Turkey. The city center of Sinop with about 50.000 population has tourism capasity because of its natural beauty. The solid wastes collected from the city center are dumped to the northwest slope of Sinop Peninsula and also into the Black Sea without any prior treatment or operation. Because of the climate of the region and tourism capasity, this application causes very serious environmental problems. In this study, the properties of the solid wastes originated from the city center of Sinop and environmental effects of the present solid waste domping area were examined. After the investigation of the characteristics of the solid wastes like their amount, composition, moisture content, density, energy content and the other factors, it has been supposed solid waste disposal model for the city center of Sinop.
