Abstract
This study has been carried out in two permanent samples with differentdisturbance levels taken from a common Quercus cerris L. var. cerris forest in SamsunOndokuz Mayıs University Kurupelit that situated at 17. km of Samsun-Bafra highway. In this study, Grime strategies (1979, 2002) of 62 plant species which have been pickedup from high disturbed land and 50 plant species which have been picked up from low-disturbed land, have been determined according to the method that has been applied byHodgson et al. (1999). When the results were evaluated , it has been established thatnumber of plant species in the highly disturbed land is more than of low-disturbed land. However, while plant species which occur on low-disturbed land are included in 10different plant strategies, plant species which occur on high-disturbed land are includedin 9 different plant strategies. In highly disturbed land that of plant species are 40% CR,16% C/CR, 16% C/SC, 8% C, 7% R/CR, 3% SC, 3% C/CSR, 2% SC/CSR and 2%S/CSR. In contrast, in low-disturbed land, that of plant species are 46% CR, 14% C/SC,10% C/CR, 8% SC, 6% R/CR, 6% C/CSR, 4% C, 4% SC/CSR and 2% CR/CSR.Finally, in high-disturbed land secondary and tertiary plant strategies which occurbecause of competition and disturbance are very high. High number of competitor-ruderal strategies show that disturbance and competition are very effective. However, when looking at to strategies of plant species which occur in low-disturbed land, ıtseemed that stress is also effective together with competition and disturbance. Keywords: Grime strategies, C-S-R, disturbance, competition, stress
