Abstract
In this study effect of different irrigation water quality and irrigation levels investigated on yield, some quality parameters of leek (Allium Porrum L.) and soil salinity. Irrigation water salinity and irrigation levels experiments were conducted according to randomized plots design with four replications in pots experiment. The research was carried out in area which is only closed on the top with plastic cover. At the first experiment, crops were irrigated with 5 different water levels (consumed water S1 = %25, S2 = %50, S3= %75, S4 =%100, S5= %118) and at the second experiment crops were irrigated with 7 different irrigation water salinity (T0 = 0.38 dSm-1, T1 = 1.0 dSm-1, T2 = 2.0 dSm-1, T3 = 3.0 dSm-1, T4= 4.0 dSm-1, T5 = 5.0 dSm-1, T7 = 7.0 dSm-1). According to the data obtained at the end of the research, stem weight, stem dry weight, leaf length, stem length, plant height, leaf weight were significantly decreased with decreasing irrigation levels. Similarly leaf dry weight, evapotranspiration, water use efficiency, stem diameter, leaf area and soil salinity were considerably reduction occurred. Chlorophyll content and number of leaves were unaffected from irrigation levels. In the different irrigation water salinity experiment, stem weight, stem dry weight, root weight, root dry weight, leaf length, plant height, leaf weight, leaf dry weight, evapotranspiration, water use efficiency, stem diameter, leaf area, chlorophyll content and drainage water quantity were decreased with increasing irrigation water salinity. Drainage water salinity and soil salinity were increased with increasing water salinity. The yield response factor (Ky) was determined 1.262 for irrigation levels and 1.481 for salt stres. Water stress practices will cause a decreases in a yield of leek crops so that throughout the growing season must be supplied all of the water needed by plant. The threshold value of leek wasfound 1.21 dS/m and relative stem weight was decreased %9.622 with per unit increase in threshold value (>1.21). With regard to obtained data, alliumporrum L.was found moderately sensitive to salinity.
