Samsun Alaçam Çeşme Mahallesi Geleneksel Konut Mimarisi

Abstract

Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde yer alan Alaçam; tarihi, kültürü ve mimari dokusu ile önemli bir yerleşim merkezidir. 1923 yılında Kurtuluş Savaşı sonrası imzalanan Lozan Antlaşması ile Türkiye ve Yunanistan arasında yaşanmış olan mübadele sürecinde, Rum halkının yaşadığı bölgelerden biri olması bağlamında da önem arz etmektedir. Geleneksel mimarinin göze çarpan örnekleri genellikle Çeşme, Yenicami ve Karşıyaka mahallelerinde bulunmaktadır. Bu yapıların bazıları yıkılmış, bazıları harabe durumunda olup özgünlüğünü koruyarak günümüze ulaşmış örnekleri de mevcuttur. Bu çalışma kapsamında Çeşme Mahallesi'nde yer alan geleneksel evler üzerinde inceleme yapılmıştır. Çalışma altı başlık altında hazırlanmıştır. Giriş bölümünde araştırmanın konusu, amacı, yöntemi, kaynakları anlatılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, Karadeniz Bölgesi'nin ve Samsun'un coğrafi konumu ile tarihçesi yer almaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde, tarih öncesi dönemlerden çağdaş Türk dönemine kadar Anadolu'da konut gelişimi hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ise evlerin plan tipolojileri, cephe düzenleri, yapım teknikleri ve kullanılan malzemeleri tespit edilerek katalog oluşturulmuştur. Beşinci bölümde katalog çalışması sonucu incelenen Alaçam evlerinin genel olarak özellikleri anlatılmaktadır. Altıncı bölümde evlerin plan, cephe tipolojileri, malzeme-yapım tekniği açısından Karadeniz Bölgesi ve diğer bölgeler ile karşılaştırması yapılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise konutların önemi, korunması ile ilgili bilgi ve öneriler sunulmuştur. Bu çalışma ile Alaçam ilçesinde yer alan geleneksel evler ile ilgili arşiv belgesi oluşturup gelecek nesillere aktarılması hedeflenmiştir.

Located in the Black Sea Region, Alaçam is an important center of population with its history, culture and architectural texture. Exchange process that took place between Turkey and Greece following the Treaty of Lausanne concluded in 1923 after the Turkish War of Independence, made Alaçam important due to being one of the regions the Greek live in. Outstanding examples of traditional architecture are generally located in Çeşme, Yenicami and Karşıyaka districts. Some of these structures have collapsed, some are in ruins and there are also examples that have survived to the present day, preserving their originality. Within the scope of this study, traditional houses in Çeşme Neighborhood were examined. The study has been prepared under six headings. In the introduction part, the subject, purpose, method and sources of the research are explained. The second guide includes the geographical location and history of the Black Sea Region and Samsun. In the third chapter, information about housing development in Anatolia from prehistoric period to the Turkish period is given. The fourth is cataloged by combining the plan typologies of the houses, facade arrangements, construction style and materials used. The general characteristics of Alaçam houses, which were examined as a result of the fifth catalog study, are described. Sixth, the plans, facade typologies, material-construction of the houses were compared with the Black Sea Region and others. In the chapter section, information and suggestions about the importance and delicacy of the houses are presented. With this study, it is aimed to create an archive document about traditional houses in Alaçam district and transfer it to the future.
