Karadenizde Yaşayan Squalus Acanthias L., 1758 Populasyonunda Yaş Tayini ve Ekonomik Önemi Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Ill KARADENİZ'DE YAŞAYAN SQUALUS ACANTHIAS L.. 1758 POPULASYONUNDA YAŞ TAYİNİ VE EKONOMİK ÖNEMİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA ÖZET Bu çalışmada, Karadeniz' de yaşayan mahmuzlu camgöz ( Squalus acanthias L. 1758 )' ün yaşının tayininde en uygun yapı ile metodun seçimi ve ekonomik öneminin belirlenmesi amaç lanmıştır. Bu maksatla Aralık 1991 - Nisan 1993 tarihleri a- rasında yakalanan 165 örnekte omur, ikinci dorsal yüzgeç dike ni ve göz merceği kullanılmıştır. Yüzgeç dikeni taban çapı, to tal uzunluk, göz merceği ağırlığı ve yaş ilişkileri incelenmiş, sonuçlar tablo ve grafiklerle gösterilmiştir. Sonuçta, mah muzlu camgöz' ün yaş tayininde yüzgeç dikeni ve göz merceği güvenilir bulunmuştur. Ancak, annulusların belirginleşmesini sağlayan elverişli bir tekniğin uygulanamaması sebebiyle omur lar değerlendirme dışında tutulmuştur. Ayrıca türün mevcut eko nomik potansiyelinin ortaya çıkarılması ve sürekliliğinin sağ lanabilmesi için köpekbalığı avcılığının, türün biyolojik ö- zel 1 ikler inin dikkate alındığı bir av kontrol programına dahil edilmesi gerektiği vurgulanmıştır.

IV A RESEARCH ABOUT THE AGEING OF SQUALUS ACANTHIAS L. 1758 POPULATION INHABITING BLACK SEA AND ITS ECONOMICAL VALUE ABSTRACT In this study, it is aimed to find out the most reliable structure and method for ageing of spiny dogfish ( Squalus acanthias L. 1758 ) and to determine its economical value. For this purpose, vertebra, second dorsal spine and eye lens were removed from 165 samples collected between December 1991 - April 1993. The relationships were established between spine base diameter, total body length, eye lens weight and age, then results were represented by figures and tables. In conclusion, the spine and eye lens were detected as reliable structures for ageing of spiny dogfish. In spite of this, ver tebra was excluded from age estimations due to lack of an applicable technique for enhancing vertebral annul i. Further more, the necessity of a fishery management program that takes care of the biological features of the species was stressed to indicate the present economical potential of the spiny dog fish and its continuity.
