Türkiye'nin İlk Sanayi Kasabalarından Biri Ayancık, Sinop

Abstract

Ayancık, Karadeniz coğrafi bölgesinin Batı Karadeniz Bölümünde, Sinop iline bağlı bir ilçedir. Bu araştırmada çalışma alanı Ayancık ilçe merkezi ile sınırlandırılmıştır.Bu çalışmanın amacı, Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında küçük bir köy olan Ayancık'ın, şehir haline gelişinde ilçe merkezine kurulan kereste fabrikasının rolünü ortaya koymaktır.Ayancık ilçe merkezinde kereste fabrikasının faaliyette olduğu süre boyunca (1929?1997) gelişen şehirsel fonksiyonlar fabrikanın kapanmasıyla durağan bir döneme girmiştir. Kereste fabrikasının doğrudan ve dolaylı olarak ortaya çıkardığı istihdam imkanları ortadan kalkmıştır. İşsizlik ve geçim sıkıntısının artması ilçe dışına göçü hızlandırmıştır.1930'lu yıllarda Ayancık, sosyal ve kültürel yaşamıyla Türkiye'nin birçok ilçe hatta il merkezinin önüne geçmiştir. Sineması, hastanesi, hayvan hastanesi, tenis kortu, spor alanları bulunan kasaba, fabrika sayesinde Türkiye'de elektriğe en erken kavuşan yörelerden de biri olmuştur.Sonuç olarak Ayancık'ta kentsel yerleşmenin oluşumu ve gelişiminde ana etken gerisindeki geniş ve verimli ormanlara bağlı olarak kurulan kereste fabrikası olmuştur. Kereste fabrikasının kapanmasının ilçede meydana getirdiği olumsuz etkileri ortadan kaldırmak için özellikle turizm sektörünün geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir.

Ayancık is a town in the province of Sinop which is located in the Black Sea Region and the section of Western Black Sea. This research is limited with the centre of Ayancık.The purpose of this study is to prove that, how Ayancık,a small village at the early years of republic, became a town with the effect of sawmill that was built in the town centre.The urban functions in Ayancık town center which developed during the time the sawmill was active, later became stable with the effect of the shut down of sawmill. The employment opportunities that sawmill provided directly or indirectly later disappeared. The increase of unemployment and lack of livelihood accelerated the imigration from the town.In 1930s the social life and cultural life in Ayancık was better than most of the towns; even most of the cities in Turkey. The town which has cinema, hospital, animal hospital, tennis court, and sports fields, was one of the centers in Turkey which meet electricity earlier with the effect of sawmill.As a result; the main factor of the urban settlement consisted and developed in Ayancık was because of the sawmill which built with the effect of wide and rich forests. In order to get rid of the negative effects of the shut down of sawmill in the town centre, tourism must be improved.
