Abstract
Amaç: Samsun kamu hastaneleri acil servislerinde çalışan hemşirelerin, triyaj bilgi düzeylerini değerlendirmek amacıyla kesitsel bir araştırma olarak planlanmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Bu araştırma, Samsun kamu hastaneleri acil servislerinde çalışan hemşirelerin ve Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi acil servisinde çalışmakta olan 324 hemşireden 300'ünün (%97.2) katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, araştırmacı tarafından literatür taranarak hazırlanan hemşireleri tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve triyaja ilişkin bilgi düzeyleri formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler, yüzdelik ve ortalama (min-maks) şeklinde sunulmuştur. Anlamlılık düzeyi p<0,05 olarak alınmıştır. Bulgular: Bu araştırmada, acil servislerde çalışan 203 hemşirenin (%67,7) triyaj sisteminde iş deneyimi sahibi olduğu, 111 hemşirenin (%37,0) klinik uygulamaları sırasında triyaj girişiminde yeterli düzeyde uygulama bilgi ve becerisine sahip olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Erişkin acil serviste çalışan hemşirelerin Triyaj Bilgi Puanı ortalama değerlerinin çocuk acilde çalışan hemşirelerden; acil serviste gönüllü çalışan hemşirelerin Triyaj Bilgi Puanı ortalama değerlerinin gönüllü olmayanlardan; acil serviste çalışmaktan memnun olan hemşirelerin Triyaj Bilgi Puanı ortalama değerlerinin memnun olmayanlardan daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Hemşireler arasında mezuniyet öncesi meslek eğitimi sırasında triyaja yönelik eğitim, kongre, sempozyum, seminer, online kurs vb. alanların Triyaj Bilgi Puanı ortalama değerleri, triyaj konusundaki eğitimleri sırasında dönemlik ders olarak veya bir dersin içinde bir konu olarak alanlardan anlamlı düzeyde yüksek bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Sonuç: Ülkemizde, triyaj protokolleri ve uygulamalarının bulunduğu ancak hemşirelerin bu konuda yeterli eğitim almadıkları sonucuna varılmıştır. Hemşirelik Yönetmeliği'nin acil servis hemşiresi görev tanımının kapsamı içinde triyaj ile ilgili görev, yetki ve sorumlulukların yeniden tanımlanması ve acil serviste çalışacak tüm hemşirelerin sertifika sahibi olmalarının sağlanması, hemşirelik mesleğinin gücünü, görünürlüğünü ve özerkliğini arttıracaktır. Hemşirelerin mezuniyet öncesi ve sonrası eğitimlerinde triyaj uygulamalarına yönelik eğitim programlarının geliştirilmesi önerilmelidir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Triyaj, Hemşirelik, Bilgi düzeyleri.
Aim: It was planned as a cross-sectional study in order to evaluate the triage knowledge levels of nurses working in Samsun public hospitals emergency services. Material and Method: This research was carried out with the participation of nurses working in emergency services at Samsun public hospitals and 300 (97.2%) of 324 nurses working in Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Application and Research Center emergency services. The data were collected by using the nurses introductory information form prepared by the researcher by scanning the literature, and the knowledge levels form about triage. The data are presented as percent, mean (min-max). The significance level was taken as p<0.05. Results: In this study, 203 nurses (67,7%) working in the emergency services had work experience in the triage system, 111 nurses (37,0%) did not have sufficient knowledge and skills in the triage attempt during their clinical practice. Average value of triage knowledge score was higher for those who work in the adult emergency service compared to those who work in the pediatric emergency; those who prefer to work in the emergency room compared to those who do not prefer to work; those who are satisfied with working in the emergency service compared to those who are not satisfied. For those who received training for triage during vocational training, the ones who attended congresses, symposia, seminars and online courses had higher scores than those who took a semester course or as a subject in a course (p<0.05). Conclusions: It has been concluded that there are triage protocols and practices in our country, but nurses do not receive adequate training on this subject. Redefining the duties, authorities and responsibilities related to triage within the scope of the emergency nurse job description of the Nursing Regulation, and ensuring that all nurses who will work in the emergency service have certificates will increase the power, visibility and autonomy of the nursing profession. It should be recommended to develop training programs for triage practices in nurses' pre- and post-graduate education. Keywords: Triage, Nursing, Knowledge levels.
