Okul Öncesi Öğretmenlerinin Müzik Öğretimine Yönelik Özyeterlilik Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlilik düzeylerini incelemek ve söz konusu öğretmenlerin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlilik düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim durumu, mezun olunan üniversite, mezun olunan fakülte, göreve gelme biçimi, görev yapılan ilçe, görev yapılan okul, kıdem yılı ve yaş grubu değişkenlerine göre farklılık gösterme durumunu ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma tarama modelinde ve betimsel nitelikli bir alan araştırması olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye'de görev yapan okul öncesi öğretmenleri, örneklemini ise Antalya iline bağlı Akseki, Manavgat ve Serik ilçelerinde görev yapan 130 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. İlgili verilerin toplanması için Özmenteş tarafından (2011) geliştirilen 'Müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlilik ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Söz konusu ölçek 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında örneklem grubuna uygulanmış, elde edilen veriler SPSS 25.0 (The Statistical Packet for SocialScinces) paket programına aktarılmış ve istatistiksel çözümleri yapılmıştır. Bu çözümlemeler ile okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik genel özyeterliliklerine ve bu yeterliklerinin değişkenlere göre farklılık durumuna ilişkin frekans (f), yüzde (%) ve aritmetik ortalama değerlerine ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlilik düzeylerinin düşük bir düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin müzik öğretimine yönelik özyeterlilik düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim durumu, mezun olunan üniversite, mezun olunan fakülte, göreve gelme biçimi, görev yapılan ilçe, görev yapılan okul, kıdem yılı ve yaş grubu değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir farklılık oluşturmadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of the study is to examine the self-efficacy levels of preschool teachers regarding music teaching and to determine whether these levels differ based on variables such as gender, age, educational background, the university and faculty graduated from, the method of recruitment, the district and school where they work, years of seniority, and the age group they teach. In line with this objective, the research was conducted as a descriptive field study employing a survey model. The population of the study consists of preschool teachers working in Turkey, while the sample includes 130 preschool teachers working in the districts of Akseki, Manavgat, and Serik in Antalya province. To collect the relevant data, the 'Self-Efficacy Scale for Music Teaching,' developed by Özmenteş (2011), was utilized. This scale was administered to the sample group during the 2023-2024 academic year. The data obtained were processed using the SPSS 25.0 (The Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software, and statistical analyses were performed. Through these analyses, frequency (f), percentage (%), and arithmetic mean values regarding the general self-efficacy of preschool teachers in music teaching and the variability of these competencies based on different factors were identified. The findings of the study revealed that the self-efficacy levels of preschool teachers regarding music teaching were low. Furthermore, it was concluded that the self-efficacy levels of preschool teachers in music teaching did not show significant differences based on variables such as gender, age, educational background, the university and faculty graduated from, the method of recruitment, the district and school where they work, years of seniority, and the age group they teach.
