| dc.description.abstract | & Idot;ncirliova is a district of Ayd & imath;n according to the current administrative division. Ayd & imath;n is located in the east, Germencik in the west, Tire in the north, and the B & uuml;y & uuml;k Menderes River and Ko & ccedil;arl & imath; district in the south. Erbeyli Village is located in the southwest of Incirliova, about 9 km from the town centre. According to the administrative division in the Ottoman Period, Erbeyli is among the neighbourhoods of G & uuml;zelhisar in Ayd & imath;n Province. In the sources of Ottoman Empire, the name Erbeyli is first mentioned in a book dated 1461. In that year, Erbeyli was recorded as having 6 households; in 1475, it had 21 households, 11 m & uuml;cerred (single households), and 2 exempt households; in 1512, it recorded 10 households and 3 exempt households; and in 1529, it had 17 households, 8 m & uuml;cerred, and 1 exempt household. According to the records in 1461, 1475, and 1512, the average number of households was around 10, which increased to 26 by 1529. According to the 1573 tahrir book, the number of inhabitants was recorded as 21. The Temettuat book from 1844-1845 indicates that there were 51 households in Erbeyli. Today, the settlement known as Erbeyli, part of the & Idot;ncirliova district of Ayd & imath;n, is one of the villages that have continued to exist since the Ottoman period. The k & uuml;lliye, which is the subject of this study, is located in a flat area of Erbeyli Village. The mosque-centered k & uuml;lliye includes a madrasah, a fountain to the northeast, and a treasury to the west. Although the exact date of construction is unknown, it is inscribed above the gate of the mosque that was built by Sar & imath; H & uuml;seyin A & gbreve;a in 1891. The mosque is an example of single-domed cubic body mosques in terms of its plan arrangement. This building differs from typical single-domed cubic body mosques by extending the harim into a rectangle, with a three-section domed space added to the north of the domed section in the direction of the mihrab. In addition to exhibiting the characteristics of its period in terms of plan and architectural features, the mosque displays a decorative program influenced by Western art movements, seen in Ottoman art. The madrasah, which was also used as a clubhouse for a period, consists of two separate rectangular buildings that define the eastern and northern boundaries of the complex. The madrasah is contemporary with the mosque, as it exhibits similar characteristics in terms of materials. Sebil, in terms of materials and construction technique, the mosque and the madrasah were built at different times. The graves of the building's founder and members of his family are located in the hazira in the west of the mosque. The decorative composition of the gravestones includes motifs of acanthus leaves, vine trees, cypress trees, and flowers emerging from a vase. When the decorations on the mosque and tombstones are evaluated in terms of style, it is understood that they feature motifs and compositions, characteristic of Western Anatolia from the second half of the 18th century to the first half of the 20th century. | en_US |
