Abstract

Bu tez çalışması başlıca altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde, Harp Tarihi'nin tarihsel süreç içerisindeki gelişimi ve mevcut stratejik, taktik ve jeopolitik esaslar dâhilinde ele alınmış; İkinci bölümde, harbin sevk ve idaresine etki eden bazı coğrafî faktörler ile Çanakkale Boğazı ve Gelibolu Yarımadası'nın coğrafyası, önemi ve geçmişten bu yana boğazlardan geçiş girişimleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, Birinci Dünya Savaşı öncesinde Avrupa'nın ve Osmanlı Devleti'nin genel görünümü, Dördüncü bölümde Otto Liman Von Sanders ile Mustafa Kemal arasındaki ilişkiler ve Beşinci bölümde, Çanakkale Muharebelerinde ortaya çıkan zayiat ve bunun nedenleri ele alınarak irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Son bölümde ise, Çanakkale Muharebelerinin yarattığı askeri, siyasi ve sosyo-ekonomik sonuçlar üzerinde durulmuştur. This thesis mainly consists of six parts. In the first part, the historical development of the history of war has been handled within the framework of the present strategic, tactic and geo-politic principles; in the second part, some geographical factors affecting menagement and administration, the geography, and the importance of the Dardanelles and Gallipoli and the attempts to cross the straits from past to present have been explained. In the third part, the general view the Ottoman Empire and the Europe before the First World War; in the fourth part, the relations between Mustafa Kemal and Otto Liman Von Sanders;in the fifth part the casualities that came out as a result of the Battle of Gallipoli and its reasons have been analyzed and questioned. In the last part, the military, political and socio- economic results caused by Battle of Gallipoli have been analyzed and focused on.
