Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde Öğrenim Gören Öğrencilerin Akılcı ve Sezgisel Karar Verme Stilleri ile Sosyal Girişimsel Liderlik Becerilerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı spor bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin bazı sosyo demografik özelliklerine göre akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme stilleri ile sosyal girişimsel liderlik becerilerini incelemek ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmış olup araştırmanın örneklemini Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Yaşar Doğu Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi'nde 2023/2024 Eğitim Öğretim yılında öğrenim gören öğrenciler arasından tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiş ve araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmayı kabul etmiş 296 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', Hamilton ve ark. (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ve İme ve ark (2020) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlaması yapılmış olan 'Akılcı ve Sezgisel Karar Verme Stilleri Ölçeği' ve geçerlilik ve güvenirlilik çalışması Öz ve Baloğlu (2023) tarafından yapılmış olan 'Sosyal girişimsel liderlik ölçeği' (SGLÖ) kullanılmıştır. Veri analizinde ikili grup karşılaştırmaları için Student t test, üç ve üzeri grup karşılaştırmaları için Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve Tukey Çoklu Karşılaştırma testleri, ölçeklerin toplam ve alt boyut toplam puanları arasındaki ilişkiyi görebilmek için 'Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı' kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, 2. ve 3. sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin 4. sınıfta okuyan öğrencilere, Spor Yöneticiliğinde okuyan öğrencilerin Antrenörlük Eğitimi ve Rekreasyon Bölümünde okuyan öğrencilere göre akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme alt boyut toplam puanları ile sosyal girişimsel liderlik ölçek toplam ve alt boyut toplam puanları daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme alt boyut toplam puanları ile sosyal girişimsel liderlik toplam ve alt boyut toplam puanları arasında orta düzeyde anlamlı pozitif ilişkiler belirlenmiştir. Eğitim programlarının içeriğinin revize edilerek, öğrencilerin akılcı ve sezgisel karar verme becerileri ile sosyal girişimsel liderlik becerilerini güçlendirecek öğelerin daha fazla vurgulanması önerilebilir. Bu şekilde, öğrencilerin bu önemli yetkinlikleri geliştirmeleri teşvik edilebilir ve gelecekteki kariyerleri ve liderlik rolleri için daha hazır hale gelmeleri sağlanabilir.

The aim of this research is to examine the rational and intuitive decision-making styles and social entrepreneurial leadership skills of students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences according to some socio-demographic characteristics and to reveal the relationship between them. For this purpose, the research utilized a correlational survey model, and the sample consisted of 296 students from the Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sports Sciences at Ondokuz Mayis University in the 2023/2024 academic year, who were randomly selected and agreed to participate voluntarily. As data collection tools, the 'Personal Information Form' created by the researcher, the 'Rational and Intuitive Decision-Making Styles Scale' developed by Hamilton et al. (2016) and adapted into Turkish by İme et al. (2020), and the 'Social Entrepreneurial Leadership Scale' (SGLS) whose validity and reliability study was conducted by Öz and Baloğlu (2023) were used. In the data analysis, Student's t-test was used to compare two groups, One-Way ANOVA and Tukey's multiple comparison tests to compare three or more groups. Also, the relationship between the total and sub-dimension total scores of the scales were estimated by using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient. In the study, it was determined that the total scores of the rational and intuitive decision-making sub-dimensions, as well as the total and sub-dimension scores of the social entrepreneurial leadership scale, were higher for students in the 2nd and 3rd years compared to students in the 4th year, and for students in the Sports Management department compared to those in the Coaching Education and Recreation departments. Additionally, moderately significant positive relationships were determined between the students' rational and intuitive decision-making sub-dimension total scores and social entrepreneurial leadership total and sub-dimension total scores. It may be suggested that the content of the training programs should be revised and more emphasis should be placed on elements that will strengthen students' rational and intuitive decision-making skills and social entrepreneurial leadership skills. In this way, students can be encouraged to develop these important competencies, making them better prepared for their future careers and leadership roles.
