Eğitimde Teknoloji Entegrasyonunu Etkileyen Faktörlerdeki Değişimin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; eğitim kurumlarının ağ alt yapısının yenilenmesi, yeni donanımlar sağlanarak donanım eksiğinin giderilmesi ve öğretmen ve öğrenciler için oluşturulan sosyal platformlarla içerik desteği verilmesinin ardından teknoloji entegrasyonunda iyileşme olup olmadığının belirlenmesi ve entegrasyona engel olarak görülen yeni faktörlerin oluşup oluşmadığının ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Aynı zamanda bu faktörlerin ortaya konularak, bundan sonraki süreçlerde etkili entegrasyon için önerilerde bulunulması ve yeni teknoloji entegrasyon modelleri ve araştırmaları için teorik bir zemin hazırlanmasıdır. Çalışmada teknoloji entegrasyonuna yönelik yeni faktörlerin oluşup oluşmadığının derinlemesine ve geniş bir bakış açısıyla ortaya konulması amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların seçiminde donanım ve alt yapı bakımından yeterli okullarda çalışmaları ölçüt olarak alındığından ölçüt örnekleme kullanılmıştır. Bu örnekleme yöntemine göre 25 katılımcı öğretmen seçilmiştir. Katılımcıların dördü çalışmada alan uzmanı olarak yer almışlarıdır. Katılımcı öğretmenler ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiş ve sonuçlar içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur Çalışmanın sonunda geçmiş çalışmalarda belirtilen teknoloji entegrasyonuna etki eden teknik sıkıntıların büyük oranda aşıldığı; yenilenen teknolojilerle yeni ihtiyaçların ve entegrasyon sürecine etki eden yeni faktörlerin ortaya çıktığı görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin hazır içerik beklentisi, yazılım eksikleri, öğretmenlerin yaşadığı teknoloji-yöntem karmaşası, değişen şartlar ve mesleki zorunluluk faktörleri çalışmada elde edilen bulgulardır. Aynı zamanda öğretmenin teknolojiye bakış açısı, algı ve tutumu derste teknoloji kullanımına etki eden en önemli faktör olarak çalışmamızın sonuçlarında yer almaktadır.

The purpose of the study is to define the progress after renovation of technological infrastructure of schools, elimination of hardware deficiencies, and accommodation of content to the social platforms created for teachers and students, and then to understand whether new factors preventing technology integration have arise. Providing suggestions for efficient technology integration and preparing theoretical basis for new technology integration and adaptation model researches are also aimed by defining those factors. Qualitative research methods were used in this study to exert the occurrence of new factors related with technology integration in schools in detail, and in a wide perspective. Participant of the study were chosen with the principles of criterion sampling from schools, which had sufficient technological infrastructure. 25 schoolteachers were participated in the study. Four of them were included as field experts. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants and the data collected were analyzed with content analyze techniques. The results of the study indicated that considerable amount of the problems preventing technology integration was overcame and new factors and new requirements affecting technology integration process have emerged. Teachers' expectation of ready-to-use contents, lack of necessary software, teachers' misconceptions between technology and teaching methods, changing environment, and occupational obligations were found as important factors. Meanwhile, teachers' views, perceptions, and attitudes towards technology use in courses take part as important factors in the results of this research.
