Abstract
Metafor ile felsefe arasındaki ilişki, felsefi-kavramsal dilin belirlilik arayışı ile sembolik dilin belirsiz karakteri arasında ortaya çıkmaktadır. Köken itibariyle 'transfer' anlamına gelen 'meta-phora', felsefi düşünme eyleminin 'telos'un tezahürüne yönelik çabası çerçevesinde dönüştürücü bir 'geçiş' olarak yorumlandığında, felsefi dil ile sembolik dilin hakikate referansı bağlamında bir kriter sorununa dönüşmektedir. Bu aynı zamanda kavramsal dil ve edebi dil arasındaki ilişkinin dikey mi yoksa yatay mı ele alınacağı sorunudur. 'Meta-phora'nın karşılığı olan transfer ise klasik Yunan filozofları ve klasik İslam filozoflarının felsefeleri dikkate alındığında farklı anlamlara bürünmektedir. Bu bağlamda Sokrates, dialog ortamını insanın faniliğine dair bir vurguya dönüştürmektedir. Platon ise transferi, kelimeler aracılığıyla kelimeleri aşan bir gerçekliğe ulaşma anlamında 'logos'a uçuş' metaforu bağlamında yorumlamaktadır. Aristoteles, metaforu linguistik düzeyde değerlendirirken, Farabi için transfer bir vulgarizasyon (avamileştirme) pratiği olarak anlam kazanmaktadır. İbn Sina'da ise transfer, metinlerin te'vilinden ruhun te'viline geçiş süreci olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. İbn Tufeyl ise sembolik dilin aşılamazlığına yaptığı paradoksal gönderme ile Farabi ve İbn Sina'dan ayrılmaktadır. Anahtar Sözcükler: Felsefe, Metafor, Transfer, Logos, Diyalojik Düşünme
The relationship between metaphor and philosophy emerges in the midst of philosophical-conceptual language's pursuit of certainty and the uncertain character of symbolic language. The word 'meta-phora', which etymologically means 'transfer', has been turned into a problem of criterion in the context of philosophical and symbolic language's reference to truth, when it is interpreted as transformative 'passage' in the framework of the manifestation of 'telos'. This problem is also related to the question of how the relationship between philosophical and literary language should be taken: vertically or horizontally? The word transfer (meta-phora) has gained different significations in the texts of classical Greek philosophers and classical Muslim philosophers. Socrates characterizes dialogue as the revelation of finiteness of human being while Plato interprets transfer as 'flight into the logoi' in the sense of accession to a reality that goes beyond words through the medium of words. Although Aristotle considers metaphor at linguistic level, for Farabi transfer is a movement of practical reason, and thus vulgarization. In the thought of Ibn Sina, transfer appears as transition process from ta'wil of the texts to ta'wil of the soul. Ibn Tufayl differs from Farabi and Ibn Sina in terms of his paradoxical reference to unsurpassable character of symbolic language.
