Abstract
19 VII. SUMMARY In this study, the effect of aspirin that were given intraperitonal injection, were studied on the levels of blood ascorbic acid in mice. For this aim aspirin and %0.9 NaCl were injected by intraperitonally to Swiss albino type laboratory mice (Mus musculus) that were unfed for 24 hours before used and after the injecticon at the 2, 4, 8, 12 and 24in hours, mice were anesthetized slightly and blood were taken from their hearts. The levels of as corbic acid were determined by using centrifugal and spectrophotometric tech nics. As a result, it was determined that the levels of blood ascorbic acid were increased at the 2-8th hours after the injection.
