Samsun Ekolojik Şartlarında Mısır (Zea Mays L.) Çeşit ve Ekim Zamanı Üzerinde Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Ill Ö z 1985 yılında Samsun ekolojik şartlarında yürütülen çalış mada dört mısır çeşitinin üç farklı ekim zamanında verim ve verim unsurları incelenmiştir. En yüksek tane verimi Akpınar çeşitinin 3 Mayıs tarihinde yapılan ekiminden elde edilmiştir. Ekim zamanı ge- cikdikçe tane verimi azalmıştır. Tane verimi ile sap verimi, koçan çapı, koçanda tane sayısı ve 1000-tane ağırlığı arasında çok önemli; koçan boyu arasında önemli ; bitki boyu ile dekardaki koçan sayısı arasında ise önemsiz ilişkiler bulunmuş t ur. Deneme sonuçlarına göre bölgede Akpınar çeşitinin yetiştirilmesi ve bu çeşitin mayıs ayının ilk haftası içersinde ekilmesi önerilebilir. ABSTRACT A STUDY ON THE VARIETY AND SOWING TIME OF THE CORN (Zea mays L. ) UNDER THE ECOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF SAMSUN This study was conducted in Samsun under the ecological conditions of 1985 in order to determine the effect of date of three plantings on the yields and the yield components of four corn varieties. The highest seed yield was obtained from Akpınar variety sown on the 3 rd of May. Seed yield decreased as planting time delayed. Highly significant correlations were found between seed yield and straw yield, ear diameter, number of seed per ear, 1000- seed weight. However only significant correlations were found between seed yield and ear lenght and non significant correlations between seed yield and plant height and number of ear per decare. According to the results of this study, Akpınar variety has a superiority to the others and early planting by the end of the first week of may is advised for this region.
