Publication: Bor Katkılı Epoksi Reçineli Termoset Kompozit Malzemelerin Geliştirilmesi
Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to improve the matrix / fiber interface properties by using hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) in epoxy matrix glass fiber reinforced thermoset composite materials. For this purpose, h-BN supplement was made using two different methods. With the spraying method, it is reinforced to h-BN fiber layers at different rates (0%, 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5%) and epoxy with h-BN-tipped sonication device at different rates (0% and 2% by weight). It was distributed and reinforced. The composites were made by vacuum infusion method by symmetrically stacking four layers of fabric for each plate. Tensile, three point bending, charpy impact testing and SEM, EDS and FTIR analysis were performed on the produced composite materials. According to the experimental results, the effect of h-BN supplementation was examined. As a result of the study, tensile and bending strengths decreased in the direction of 0 ° and 90 ° in epoxy resin thermoset composites with a h-BN reinforcement with a spray method in the fabric. Composite containing 0.5% h-BN in the direction of 0 ° and 90 °, showed the best charpy impact results with an increase of ≈%54 and ≈50% charpy impact energy compared to composite without h-BN.
