Papa'nın Yanılmazlığı Sorunu ve Hans Küng'ün Yanılmazlık Doktrinini Eleştirisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma ünlü Katolik teologu Hans Küng'ün doktrini eleştirisi bağlamında Papanın Yanılmazlığı Sorununu incelemektedir. Bilindiği gibi Papanın Yanılmazlığı Meselesi, I. Vatikan Konsili resmi dokümanları içerisinde yer alıp dogma halini aldıktan sonra özellikle Katolik Kilisesi'nde olmak üzere tüm Hıristiyan dünyasında, geniş bir kitle tarafından tartışılmıştır. Bu çalışma konuyu üç başlık altında incelemektedir.İlk bölümde özetle, Hans Küng'ün Katolik Kilisesi ile ilgili görüşlerinin önemini ortaya koymak adına hayatı ve Akademik gelişimi üzerine odaklanılmıştır. İkinci bölümde Papanın Yanılmazlığı Meselesi derinlemesine analiz edilmiştir. Bunu yaparken kavramın ilk önce tanımı yapılmış, daha sonra kapsamı incelenmiş ve sonunda dinsel ve tarihsel temelleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise, Küng'ün Infallible? An Unresolved Enquiry eseri ışığında Yanılmazlık Doktrinine yönelik eleştirisine yer verilmiştir.Çalışma sonucunda şu bulgulara ulaştık: Papanın Yanılmazlığı Meselesi sadece Katolik Kilisesi'nde değil tüm Hıristiyan Kiliselerinde tartışmalı bir konudur. Söz konusu doktrinin dinsel ve tarihsel gelişim süreci incelendiğinde doktrini temellendirecek pasajlar yetersiz kalmaktadır. Küng, Papanın Yanılmazlığını papaların sahip olduğu özel bir ayrıcalık olarak görmemekte, Kilise yararına anlaşılması ve Kilise'ye imana hizmet etmesi gerektiğinin altını çizmektedir. Dahası Kilise statik değil dinamik bir kurum olmalıdır. This study pursues the problem of papal infallibility within the context of the renowned Catholic theologian Hans Küng?s Criticism on this issue. As is well known the issue of papal infallibility has been discussed very widely in Christian world especially in the Catholich Church since it became as dogma with the official decisions of the First Vatican Council. This thesis examines this issue under three chapters.In the first chapter, it is focused very briefly on the life of Hans Küng and his academic development in order demonstrate importance of his views concerning the Catholic Church. In the second chapter it is analysed the issue of papal infallibility very deeply. By doing this first of all it is given its definition and secondly it is focused on its scope and then studied its religious and historical foundations. In the third chapter, it is examined Küng?s Criticism on the doctrine infallibility in the light of his work Infallible? An Unresolved Enquiry.In the conclusion of the thesis we have reached the following findings: The issue of infallibility has been a questionable issue not only for the Catholic Church, but also for other Christian Churches. Considering the religious and the historical processes of the doctrine that has gone thorugh, the passages that the doctrine based on is concisely not suffient. Referring to Küng, the infallibility of the Pope should not be used as a specific quality of being the Pope, but as a servet of the Church and as well as an invitation to the Church. Morever, the Church must be a dynamic organization other than a stagnant one. Last but not least, in Kung?s view, the Church should always be open to the modern world in order to uptade herself.KEY WORDS: Infallibility, Catholic Church, Pope, Ex- Cathedra, Magisterium
