STERİLİZASYON VE FORMALDEHİT UYGULAMALARI İLE TORBA AĞIRLIKLARININ ÖRTÜ ALTINDA YETİŞTİRİLEN PLEUROTUS MANTAR TÜRLERİNİN GELİŞME, VERİM VE KALİTESİ ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ ÖZET Bu araştırma örtü altı koşullarında sterilizasyon ve formaldehit uygulamaları ile torba ağırlıklarının Pleurotus türlerinin verim ve kalitesi üzerine etkilerini belirlemek, büyüme ve verim modellerini oluşturmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma, Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümüne ait yüksek plastik tünelde Ekim 2001- Nisan 2002 döneminde yürütülmüştür. Yetiştirme ortamı olarak samanın kullanıldığı çalışmada otoklav ile sterilizasyon, %1 ve 3'lük formaldehit ile dezenfeksiyon olmak üzere 3 yöntem, 3 torba ağırlığı (1, 2 ve 3 kg) ve 3 Pleurotus türü (P. ostreatus, P.sajor-caju., P. sapidus) ele alınmıştır. Otoklav yöntemi ile sterilizasyon ve formaldehit (%1 ve 3) ile dezenfekte edilen farklı torba ağırlıklarındaki yetiştirme ortamlarının nem, pH, C, N ve C/N oranları saptanmıştır. Çalışmada uygulamaların misel gelişim oranları ve süreleri, verim ve biyolojik etkinlikleri ile elde edilen mantarların fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın diğer bir amacı da sıcaklık ve ışığın büyüme ve verim üzerine olan etkilerini matematiksel modeller yardımıyla belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Araştırmada kullanılan Pleurotus türlerinin kış döneminde ısıtmasız yüksek plastik tünelde yeti şt iril ebi 1 eceği sonucuna varılmıştır. Sterilizasyon uygulamasından formaldehit uygulamalarına göre daha yüksek verim ve biyolojik etkinlik elde edilmiştir. Formaldehit uygulamalarının yapıldığı bazı ortamlarda misel gelişimi olmadığı için verim elde edilememiştir. Sterilizasyon uygulamasında torba ağırlıkları arasında istatistiksel fark bulunmamış, en yüksek verim ve biyolojik etkinlik değeri otoklavla sterilizasyonu yapılan 1 kg'lık torbalarda yetiştirilen P. sajor-caju (sırasıyla 27.30 kg/100 kg kompost ve %96.46) ve P. ostreatus (26.19 kg/100 kg kompost ve %92.54) türlerinde elde edilmiştir. Geliştirilen regresyon modeli ile misel gelişim süresi %98, ilk hasat süresi %81 ve verim %82 olasılıkla tahmin edilebilmiştir. EFFECTS OF THE STERILIZATION AND FORMALDEHYDE APPLICATION AND SUBSTRATE WEIGHTS ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF PLEUROTUS MUSHROOMS GROWN IN HIGH PLASTIC TUNNEL ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine the effects of sterilization by autoclave and disinfection by formaldehyde and substrate bag weights on yield and quality of Pleurotus species, to develop mushroom growth and yield models under the high plastic tunnel. The study carried out in the high plastic tunnel at the Department of Horticulture Agricultural Faculty of Ondokuz Mayıs University during October 2001- April 2002. In this study, wheat straw was used as substrate three methods (sterilization by autoclave, disinfection by formaldehydel% and 3%), three bag weights (1,2 and 3 kg) and three Pleurotus species (P. ostreatus, P. sajor-caju, P. sapidus) were investigated. Some traits such as pH, moisture, C and N contents and C/N ratios of substrates sterilization by autoclave and disinfection by formaldehyt (1% and 3%) were also determined. Mycelium growing rates and duration, mushroom yield and biological efficiencies for treatments and physical and chemical traits of mushrooms were determinated. The other subject of the study was to investigate the effects of light and temperature on mushroom growth and yield by using mathematical model. It was concluded that the Pleurotus species were used in the study could be grown in the unheated high plastic tunnel in winter season. Higher yield and biological efficiency were obtained from sterilization by autoclave than that of disinfection by formaldehyde. Some substrates disinfected by formaldehyde didn't gave mushroom yield because there was no mycelium growth. In sterilization by autoclave, there was no significant differences among substrates bag weights. The highest mushroom yield and biological efficiency were obtained from P. sajor-caju (27.30 kg/100 kg substrates and 96.46%, respectively) and P. ostreatus (26.19 kg/100 kg substrates and 92.54%, respectively) cultivated in 1 kg of substrate per bag and sterilized by autoclave.The prediction performance of the regression model for mycelium growing duration, days to first harvest and mushroom yield were 98%, 81% and 82%, respectively.
