Abstract
The ring structures of 4-diphenylmethoxyphthalonitrile (C 21H14n2O) were analyzed. It was observed that the compound contains three aromatic ring structures, A, B and C, which are planar in nature. Rings B and C were found to be connected by a C atom and the dihedral angle between them was found to be 77.66 °. It was also observed that π-π stacking interactions occurred in the rings.
