Dimethyl 2,2'-(4,5-Dicyano-o-Phenylenedioxy)Dibenzoate

Abstract

There are two independent molecules in the structure of the title compound, C<inf>24</inf>H<inf>16</inf>N<inf>2</inf>O<inf>6</inf>, one in a general position, the other on a twofold axis of space group Pbcn. There are thus one and a half molecules in the asymmetric unit. C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N and C-H⋯π interactions exert some influence on the molecular conformation and packing in the crystal structure. © 2004 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
