Cumhuriyet Dönemi Müzik Öğretmeni Yetiştirme Programlarına Yönelik Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Cumhuriyet döneminde; müzik öğretmeni yetiştirmek amacıyla kurulan Musiki Muallim Mektebi, Türkiye'de müzik eğitiminin gelişimine çok önemli katkıda bulunmuştur. Musiki Muallim Mektebi'nin Türk müzik eğitimine olan katkısında, bu kurumda uygulanan öğretim programlarının önemi büyüktür. Musiki Muallim Mektebi'nde ve günümüzdeki adıyla Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dallarında bugüne değin kullanılan öğretim programları sürekli geliştirilip güncellenmiştir. Bu bağlamda müzik öğretmeni adaylarının aldığı eğitim sürecinde kullanılan öğretim programlarının niteliğinin tespit edilmesi önemli görülmüş ve araştırmada; Cumhuriyet Dönemi müzik öğretmeni yetiştirme programlarını belirli yönlerden incelemek ve karşılaştırmak, tarihi süreçte programların değişimini ortaya koymak ve bu şekilde programın geliştirilmesine katkı sağlamak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada veriler doküman analizi ve içerik analizi yöntemleri kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler ve ulaşılan sonuçlar nicel veriler biçiminde ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında analiz boyutları, programlardaki ders içeriği kategorileri, ders saati türleri, ders kredileri ve Türk Müziği - Batı Müziği ders saatleri şeklinde belirlenmiş ve bu boyutlar programlar arasında karşılaştırmalı analize tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda cumhuriyet tarihinde uygulanan müzik öğretmeni yetiştirme programlarının, alan eğitimi ağırlıklı olduğu, 1998 öncesi programlarda ders içeriği kategorilerindeki öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi derslerinde ve uygulamalı ders saatlerinde yetersizlik olduğu, ayrıca programların ağırlıklı olarak batı müziği derslerinden oluştuğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

In the Republican period; Established to train music teachers, the Music Teachers' School made a significant contribution to the development of music education in Turkey. The curricula applied in this institution are of great importance in the contribution of the Music Teachers' School to Turkish music education. The curricula used in the Music Teachers' School and the Music Education Departments, as it is known today, have been continuously developed and updated. In this context, it was considered important to determine the quality of the teaching programs used in the education process of the music teacher candidates. It is aimed to examine and compare the music teacher training programs of the Republic Period in certain aspects, to reveal the changes in the programs in the historical process and to contribute to the development of the program in this way. The data in the research were obtained by using document analysis and content analysis methods. The analyzes made and the results achieved are presented in the form of quantitative data. Within the scope of the research, the analysis dimensions were determined as course content categories in the programs, course hours, course credits and Turkish Music - Western Music course hours, and these dimensions were subjected to a comparative analysis between the programs. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the music teacher training programs implemented in the history of the republic were mainly field education, there were inadequacy in the teaching profession knowledge courses and applied course hours in the course content categories in the programs before 1998, and that the programs mainly consisted of western music lessons.
