İlk Dönem İslam Kelamcılarında Dinsel Metinleri Anlama ve Tevil Problemi

Abstract

Hiç kuşku yok ki, bugün, İslâm araştırmacılarının yaşadığı en önemli sorunlardan birisi de, bilimsel araştırmalarda izlenen yöntembilim (metodoloji) sorunudur. Günümüz için, eğer bilimsel ve felsefi birtakım ölçütlere uygun bir yöntembilim oluşturulacaksa bu, büyük ölçüde geçmiş dinsel geleneğin bütün yönleriyle ortaya konmasına ve iyice anlaşılmasına bağlıdır. Bu cümleden olmak üzere, sanılanın aksine daha çok İslâm düşüncesinin kendi içsel dinamiklerinden hareketle varlık bulmuş olan ?te'vîl yöntembilimi?, İslâm bilgin ve düşünürlerine bunlar içerisinde özellikle de kelâmcılara, dinsel metinleri anlama veya yorumlama konusunda büyük bir açılım ve kolaylık sağlamıştır. Öyle ki, İslâm kelâmcıları, bu yöntembilimi benimserken ya da daha özelde dinsel nasslara uygularken, tesadüflere dayalı ya da gelişi güzel (rastlantısal) olarak hareket etmemiş; bu doğrultuda, dinsel ve felsefi birtakım temeller çerçevesinde bu yöntembilimi besleyen tüm insansal ve ahlaksal değerlerden önemli derecede yararlanmaya çalışmıştır. Bu bakımdan, İslâm düşünsel serüveninin belli bir döneminde bilhassa da İslâm kelâmcılarına, benimsemiş ya da kabul etmiş oldukları dinsel ve felsefi birtakım görüş ve yaklaşımlarını temellendirebilme veya gerekçelendirebilme konusunda çok önemli fırsatlar ve imkanlar sağlayan ?te'vîl yöntembilimi?, damgasını vurmuş olduğu dönemle sınırlı kalmamış; tam tersine, bugün bile dinsel görüş ve yaklaşımlarını değişik kategorilerde ifade etmek isteyen kimselere, hali hazırda hizmet sunmaya devam etmektedir. Başka bir deyişle, 21. yüzyıl İslâm Kelâmı, özelde kalmak koşuluyla dinsel nassları anlama ve yorumlama konusunda modern dönemde dahi, ?te'vîl yöntembilimi?nin sunumlarını tartışır bir duruma gelmiş olup günümüzde bu yöntembilimden önemli derecede istifade etmektedir.İşte bu çalışma, yukarıda işaret edilen hususlar ekseninde geçmiş dinsel gelenekte kendisine sıkça başvurulan ?te'vîl yöntembilimi?ni, bütün yöntembilimsel ve kuramsal çerçevesiyle tanıtma ve gözler önüne serme amacını gütmektedir. Hiç kuşkusuz, böylesi bir eğilim sayesinde, ortaçağdaki dinsel, mezhepsel, kelâmi ve felsefi birtakım açıklama ve tartışmalarda izlenmiş olunan yöntembilimin, daha da önemlisi, bu yöntembilimin temel argümanları ya da dayanakları tanıtılmak suretiyle, İslâm araştırmacılarının bugün karşı karşıya bulunduğu yöntem(sizlik) sorununa da, bir anlamda açıklık getirilmiş olunacaktır.

One of the most important problems Islam researchers have recently experienced is undoubtedly the problem of methodology which has been pursued in the scientific researches. If a methodology appropriate for a set of scientific and philosophical criteria would be for the present constructed, this depends to a large extent on revealing all aspects of old religious tradition and a thorough understanding of this tradition. For this reason, ?ta?wil (interpretation) methodology?, which has came into a existence from the internal dynamics of Islamic thought, contrary to the common assumption, have provided the Islamic scholars and thinkers especially the Islamic theologians (Kalam scholars) with great openings and facilities to understand and interpret the Islamic texts. Thus, the Islam theologians (Kalam scholars) have not approached the texts coincidentally or randomly. Rather, they have tried to benefit to a great extent from the moral and humanely values nurturing this methodology in the framework of some religious and philosophical foundations while they have been adopting this methodology or in particular applying it to the religious nasses. From this point of view, ?ta?wil methodolgy?, which provides the Islam theologians (Kalam scholars) with very significant oppurtunities and facilities in the course of the development of Islamic thought to establish firmly or reason some religious and philosophical thoughts and approaches they have accepted or have adopted. ?Ta?wil methodology? has not been limited just to a period it has influenced. Contrary to this, it has still continued to serve those wishing to express their religious views and approaches with different categories. In other words, Islamic Kalam (theology) of the 21th century have benefited today to a large extent from the methodology under some particular conditions in understanding and interpreting the religious nasses even in the modern period and have started to discuss the presentations of ?ta?wil methodology?.This study aims at introducing and taking into consideration ?ta?wil methodology? with its whole methodological and theoretical framework. In this way, this work will hopefully clarify in a sense the methodological problem (lack of methodology) Islamic researchers have currently encountered by introducing the methodology used in religious, secterian, theological (related to Kalam) and philosophical explanations and discussions in the Middle Ages and further the basic arguments and grounds of this methodological approach.
