Abstract
Cahiliye döneminde kadın, ailesinin alt tabakadan ya da soylu oluşuna göre toplum hayatında değer görmüştür. Hz. Peygamber döneminde ise kadın, dinin örtünme ve iffet ile ilgili emirlerini yerine getirerek sosyal hayatta oldukça aktif bir rol almıştır. Tarihsel süreçte kadın hakkında menfi yargılar oluşmuş; fitneye sebep olacağı gerekçesiyle kadın eve kapatılmış ya da kadın-erkek ilişkileri İslamî eksenden kayarak, diyalogda bir takım yozlaşmalar meydana gelmiştir. Ancak modern döneme gelindiğinde konu, `kadın sorunu? adı altında ıslaha çalışılmıştır. Kadın hakkında yapılan günümüz çalışmaları çoğunlukla feminist düşünceden beslenmiş ve özgürlük söylemiyle dillendirilmiştir. Oysa İslamî algıda kişi, kendine ait özel alan içinde özgürleşecektir. Bu bakımdan mahremiyet, iffet, ihtilat kavramları önem kazanmaktadır.Bu çalışmada İslam kültürünün tarihsel sürecinde kadının toplum hayatına katılımı, kadın-erkeğin birlikte eğitim görmesi, çalışması, sağlık hizmetlerinden faydalanması, savaşlara katılması, siyasi faaliyetlerde bulunması, eğlenmesi, spor yapması, seyahat etmesi durumları ve kadın-erkek ilişkilerine temel oluşturan kavramlar incelenmiştir. Women in Jahiliyyah were given value in community life according to their family from lower class or aristocracy. Women in the period of Muhammad, took an active role in social life by following the orders related to hijab and chastity of religion. In the historical period negative judgements about women occurred and they were locked in house due to the fact that they would cause incitement or a number of corruptions occured by getting out of the Islamic line of relationships between women and men, but in modern term, the subject was tried to be reformed under the name of ?problem of woman?. Today?s studies related to women have been fed by feminist thought and it has been told by discourse of freedom. In fact person in the Islamic perception becomes free in his personal field. In this respect, notions of privateness, virtue and complication gain importance. In this study socialization of women, education, labour, benefiting from health services, taking part in wars, taking part in politics, entertainment, doing sport and travelling of women and men in a common place and fundamental notions setting ground for women and men in the historical period of Islamic culture have been examined.
