Minkowski Uzayında Eğrilikler Üzerine

Abstract

Bu tez Giriş, Bulgular ve Tartışma bölümleri olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır Giriş bölümünde temel kavramlara yer verilmiş ve bu bölümde; Afin uzaylar, Öklid uzayları, Lorentz uzayı, Manifoldlar tanıtılmıştır. Ayrıca Öklid uzayında eğriler ve yüzeylerle ilgili temel kavramlar verilmiş ve Öklid uzayında yüzeylerin normal eğrilikleri ve eğrilerin eğrilik çizgisi olması için gerekli koşullar açıklanmıştır.Bulgular ve tartışma bölümü, bu tezin orijinal kısımlarını meydana getirmektedir. Bu bölümde, 3-boyutlu Minkowski uzayında yüzeylerin normal eğrilikleri hesaplanmış, bu uzayda eğrilerin eğrilik çizgisi olması için gerekli koşullar elde edilmiştir.

This thesis consists of two main chapters, namely the Introduction and the Resultsand Discussion.The first main chapter, the introduction, deals with the basic concepts that have beenused in the succesive chapters. In this chapter; Affine Space, Euclidian Space, Lorentzian Space and Manifolds have been introduced, and basic concepts of curves and surfaces in Euclidian space have been given. In Euclidian space, the concepts of normal curvatures of surfaces and the necessary conditions for curves of the surfaces being a line of curvature have been explained.Last chapter, the Results and Discussion is the original and also the other main part of this thesis. In this chapter; In 3-dimensional Minkwoski space, normal curvatures of surfaces have been computed and the necessary conditions for curves of the surfaces being a line of curvature have been obtained.
