Publication: Günlük Yaşam Aktivitelerini Yerine Getiremeyen Bireylerin Yakınlarının Manevi Destek İhtiyaçlarının İncelenmesi
Abstract
Bu araştırmada günlük yaşam aktivitelerini yerine getiremeyen bireylerin bakımlarını yapan yakınlarının manevi destek ve rehberlik hizmetlerine olan ihtiyaçları incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla araştırmada hasta yakınlarının manevi destek ihtiyaçları, psikolojik destek ihtiyaçları, bu destekleri alıp almadıkları, bu süreçte dini inançlarının motivasyonu, yaşadıkları karşısında isyan edip etmedikleri, bakımları yaparken zorlanmaları ve ruhsal olarak bunalmaları, manevi destek ve rehberlik hizmetlerine bakış açıları gibi problemler incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Samsun Fiziksel Tıp ve Rehabilitasyon Hastalıkları Hastanesi'nde tedavi gören hastalardan günlük yaşam aktivitelerini yapamadığı tespit edilen hastalar ve onların yakınları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın bilgileri hastalara yapılan Katz Günlük Yaşam Aktiviteleri Ölçeği, hasta yakınlarına yapılan Özel Amaçlı Anket Formu ve onlarla yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Ölçek ve ankette elde edilen bilgiler SPSS programıyla analiz edilmiş, sonuçlar farklı çalışmaların sonuçlarıyla birlikte sentezlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada şu sonuçlar elde edilmiştir: Araştırmaya katılan bakım verici hasta yakınlarının çoğu kadındır. Büyük çoğunluğunun bakımları yaparken zorlandığı görülmüştür. Çoğunun ruhsal olarak bunaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Büyük çoğunluğunun sosyal hayatlarında azalma olduğu ve kendilerine ayırdıkları zamanın azaldığı belirlenmiştir. Çoğunun engellilik durumunu ilk aşamada kabullenmekte zorlandıkları fakat zamanla kabullendikleri tespit edilmiştir. Çoğu psikolojik desteğe ihtiyaç duymadıklarını ve psikolojik destek almadıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Büyük çoğunluğunun manevi desteğe ihtiyaç duyduklarını fakat destek almadıklarını, manevi destek almanın kendileri için yararlı olduğunu düşündükleri tespit edilmiştir. Büyük çoğunluğu yaptıkları bakımların karşılığında manevi bir ödül alacaklarını ve hastalarına bakmamaları durumunda manevi bir ceza alacaklarını düşündükleri tespit edilmiştir. Tamamına yakınının bakımları yaparken dini inançlarının kendilerini motive ettiği ve eskiye göre daha çok dine yöneldikleri belirlenmiştir. Çoğunun hastalarının yapamadıkları aktivitelerine üzüldüğü ve hastalarına nasıl manevi destek vereceklerini bilemedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Büyük çoğunluğunun hastalık sürecinde batıl inançlara yönelmedikleri tespit edilmiştir.
In this study, the needs of spiritual support and guidance services of relatives who care for individuals who cannot fulfill their daily living activities were examined. For this purpose, problems such as moral support needs of patients' relatives, psychological support needs, whether they receive this support, motivation of their religious beliefs in this process, whether they rebel against their experiences, difficulties and mental depression while caring, and their perspectives on spiritual support and guidance services were examined. The sample of the study consists of the patients who were treated in Samsun Fizik Tedavi ve Rehabilitasyon Hastalıkları Hastanesi and their relatives who were found to be unable to do their daily living activities. The informations of the research was obtained as a result of the Katz Activities of Daily Living Scale applied to the patients, the Special Purpose Questionnaire Form applied to the relatives of the patients and the interviews with them. The informations obtained in the scale and questionnaire was analyzed with the SPSS program, and the results were synthesized and interpreted together with the results of different studies. The following results were obtained in the study: Most of the caregiver relatives participating in the study are women. It has been observed that the vast majority of them have difficulty in doing the maintenance. Most of them have been found to be mentally depressed. It was determined that the majority of them had a decrease in their social life and the time they spent for themselves decreased. It has been determined that most of them have difficulty in accepting their disability at the first stage, but they accept it over time. Most of them stated that they did not need psychological support and did not receive psychological support. It was determined that the majority of them needed moral support but did not receive support, and they thought that it was beneficial for them to receive moral support. It has been determined that the majority of them think that they will receive a moral reward in return for their care and that they will receive a divine punishment if they do not care for their patients. It was determined that almost all of them were motivated by their religious beliefs while taking care of them and they turned to religion more than before. It was determined that most of them were upset about the activities of their patients that they could not do, and it was determined that they did not know how to give moral support to their patients. It has been determined that the majority of them do not turn to superstitions during the disease process.
