Cumhuriyet'in İlk Beş Yılında Kadın Dergileri; Bir Değişimin Kadınca Hikayesi

Abstract

Osmanlı döneminde çıkarılmaya baslanan kadın dergilerinin yayımına Cumhuriyetdöneminde de devam edilmistir. Süs, Âsâr-ı Nisvân, Türk Kadın Yolu bu dönem yayımlanankadın dergileridir. Mesruti sistemden cumhuriyet rejimine geçiste pek çok alanda köklüdegismeler yasanmıstır. Yasanılan gelismelerin kadınlar tarafından nasıl algılandıgınıyayıncılıgını yine kadınların üstlendigi bu dergilerde bulmak mümkündür. Egitim ve hukukalanında gerçeklesen önemli gelismeler ile kadınlar önceki dönemden beri dile getirdiklerihaklarının büyük kısmını kazanmıslardır. Elde edilen bu haklardan sonra siyasi haklarınkazanılması için ugrası vermeye baslamıslardır. 1923- 1927 kadınların yogunlukla seçme veseçilmeye yönelik taleplerini dile getirdikleri bir dönem olmustur. Publication of women?s magazines, issued for the first time in Ottoman period, proceededduring the Turkish Republic period. Süs, Âsâr-ı Nisvân, Türk Kadın Yolu are the women?smagazines published throughout this period. Transition from the constitutional monarchysystem into the republic regime, numerous radical alterations took place. It is possible to findout how these alterations were being perceived by women in those magazines, publication ofwhich were undertaken by the women themselves. Women obtained most of the rights theyhad been claimed since the former period with the significant developments in the field ofeducation and law. After the rights they obtained, women set struggling to get political rights.The years between 1923 and 1927 is the period when women intensively expressed theirdemands for the right to elect and be elected. In consequence of the developments andacquisitions has taken place so far, women?s movement in the Turkish Republic periodshowed particular differences from the one in the former Ottoman period.KEY WORDSWomen Movement, Women Periodicals, Süs, Âsâr-ı Nisvân, Türk Kadın Yolu
