Publication: Dinamik Yönelimli Kısa-Yoğun-Acil Psikoterapinin Risk Grubundaki Ergenler Üzerindeki Etkisinin Pozitif Psikoloji Bağlamında İncelenmesi
Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to examine the effectiveness of dynamic-oriented Brief Emergency Psychotherapy (BEP) applied to adolescents in the risk group in the context of positive psychology. In line with the purpose of the research, dynamic-oriented Brief Emergency Psychotherapy program consisting of 12 sessions was developed. Within the scope of the research, a risk map form for problem screening was applied to all high school students studying in a public school. By analyzing this form, a class and school risk map was created and adolescents in the risk group were determined. After the pre-interviews with these adolescents, they were informed about the study that included BEP application. Subsequently, the volunteered adolescentswere included in the study and assigned to the experimental and control groups by matching. In the research, a quasi-experimental design including pretest, posttest and follow-up test with control group was preferred. 24 adolescents in the risk group were assigned to the experimental (5 males, 7 females) and control (6 males, 6 females) groups.Personal Information and Consent Form, PERMA-Profiler, Brief Resilience Scale, Scale of Setting Life Goals, and Optimism-Pessimism Scale in adolescents were conducted to both groups. Data analyzes were performed using the Friedman Test, Mann-Whitney U Test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Considering the findings of the study, it was found that the scores of well-being, positive emotions, negative emotions, loneliness, attachment, achievement, life purpose, career purpose, resilience, optimism and pessimism of the adolescents in the experimental group changed positively. However, it was determined that the scores of positive relationships, meaning, health, relationship purpose and body-sense purpose scores did not differ statistically. No significant difference was observed in the scores of the adolescents in the control group. As a result, the BEP program developed in this study can be used in studies with adolescents and its effectiveness can be tested.
