dc.description.abstractThis study has been conducted to determine the innovativeness, entrepreneurship, curiosity and exploration characteristics of nursing students and the relationship between these characteristics. The population of this descriptive type conducted study is consisted of 250 students in third and fourth years in the nursing department of a university in Black Sea region. Sample of the study consisted of 236 students who agreed to participate in the study. The data have been collected with “Personal Information Form, Individual Innovativeness Scale, Individual Entrepreneurship Perception Scale, Curiosity and Exploration Inventory-II”. In the study, students; who were members of a club, who engaged in entrepreneurial/innovative activities, who received training on innovativeness, who were following innovative practices in health or nursing, who had ideas to develop innovative products, who wanted to work in a sector other than nursing or in private sector and who thought about continuing their education had higher curiosity and innovativeness levels (p<0.05). There was a weak and positive significant correlation between students’ Curiosity and Exploration Inventory-II and Individual Innovativeness Scale scores (p<0.01). It has been determined that nursing students had moderate levels of curiosity, exploration, innovativeness and entrepreneurship characteristics and they were questioning about innovations. The students’ innovativeness levels increased as their curiosity and exploration levels increased. © 2023, Inonu University. All rights reserved.en_US
