Abstract

This chapter proposes a fresh conceptualisation of inclusive education as a dynamic, rights-based process empowered by the transformative potential of the postdigital age. Rooted in human rights principles, inclusive education challenges the conventional focus on specific groups, advocating for a holistic approach that acknowledges the complexity of individual identities. The postdigital era presents opportunities to address exclusionary practices by promoting collaboration, justice, and active participation through adaptive technologies and digital platforms. These tools enable inclusive education to evolve as a shared endeavour among students, teachers, families, and communities, ensuring meaningful engagement for all. By linking the principles of human rights with postdigital innovations, the chapter highlights how inclusive education can promote justice, diversity, and belonging while dismantling traditional power structures and rigid frameworks. This vision positions the postdigital not just as a technological shift but as a catalyst for reimagining inclusive education as a living, participatory process in pursuit of justice and shared humanity. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
