Abstract

In the title compound, 2C<inf>5</inf>H<inf>8</inf>N<inf>3</inf> +·C<inf>2</inf>O<inf>2</inf>2-·2H <inf>2</inf>O, the 2,6-diaminopyridinium ions are linked to centrosymmetric oxalate ions and water molecules through N - H⋯O and O - H⋯O hydrogen bonds, generating edge-fused [R<inf>2</inf>1(6)R <inf>1</inf>2(5)R<inf>2</inf>2(9)-R<inf>4</inf> 2(8)R<inf>6</inf>6(17)] motifs. © 2006 International Union of Crystallography.
