Abstract
Bu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerine kitap okuma alışkanlığı kazandırmalarındaki rollerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma evrenini 2014 – 2015 eğitim – öğretim yılında Samsun iline bağlı devlet okullarında görev yapan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma toplam 539 sınıf öğretmeni üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Tekgül (2013) tarafından geliştirilen 'Öğretmen Görüşleri' anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında toplanan verilerin analizi için istatistik paket programı SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada anket yoluyla toplanan veriler, frekans ve yüzde dağılımları hesaplanarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin genel olarak kitap okuma ve okutma konusunda her zaman çaba gösterdikleri ve öğrencilerine kitap okuma alışkanlığı kazandırmadaki etkilerinin orta seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bu sonuçlar alanyazın ışığında yorumlanarak, araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı ve ileride yapılabilecek araştırmalara yönelik bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
This research aims to determine the opinions of classroom teachers about their role in acquiring students' reading habits. The universe of the research consists of classroom teachers working in public schools of Samsun province in 2014 - 2015 academic year. The study was conducted on 539 classroom teachers. 'Teacher Opinions' questionnaire form developed by Tekgül (2013) was used as data collection tool. Statistical package program SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) was used to analyze the data collected within the scope of the research. The data collected through the survey were analyzed by calculating the frequency and percentage distributions. As a result of the research, it has been determined that classroom teachers have always made efforts in reading and reading books in general and their effects on gaining reading habits for their students are moderate. These results were interpreted in the light of the literature and some suggestions were made based on the results of the research and for future researches.
