Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Hastanesi'ndeki Sfigmomanometrelerin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

GİRİŞ VE AMAÇHipertansiyon ve komplikasyonları, toplum sağlığında gittikçe artan oranda önem kazanmaktadır. Hipertansiyon tanısını erken ve doğru bir şekilde koyup, uygun tedavinin zamanında başlanması gereklidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi'nde kullanılan sfigmomanometrelerin doğruluğunu incelemek ve bu konunun önemi hakkında bir bilinç oluşmasına katkıda bulunmaktırYÖNTEMOndokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi'nde kullanılan sfigmomanometrelerin doğruluğunu araştırmak için Ocak - Mayıs 2009 tarihlerinde klinik ve poliklinikler ziyaret edildi. 119 aneroid ve 7 adet civalı alet çalışmaya dahil edildi. Çalışmaya pediatri departmanı dahil edilmedi. Ayrıca anket uygulandı.SONUÇLARKontrol edilen 126 sfigmomanometrenin 49'unun (% 39) hatalı ölçüm yaptığı saptandı. Civalı aletlerde hata saptanmadı.YORUMHipertansiyon tanısının doğru şekilde konulması çok önemlidir. Bu şekilde uygun tedavi başlanabilir ve gereksiz tedaviler önlenebilir. BACKGROUND AND PURPOSEHypertension and its complications are becoming more and more important in terms of the public health. Hypertension should be diagnosed early and accurately and appropriate treatment should be initiated on time. The objective of this study is to test the accuracy of the sphygmomanometers used in Ondokuz Mayıs University and to contribute to the creation of an awareness about the importance of this issue.METHODSClinics and polyclinics were visited between January ? May 2009 to investigate the accuracy of the sphygmomanometers used in the Medicine Faculty of Ondokuz Mayıs University. 119 aneroids and 7 mercury sphygmomanometers were included in the study. Department of Pediatry was not included in the study. A questionnaire was also applied.RESULTSIt has been detected that 49 ( %39 ) sphygmomanometers out of 126 which were tested measured inaccurately. No inaccuracy was detected in mercury sphygmomanometers.CONCLUSIONCorrect diagnosis of the hypertension is very important. In this way, an appropriate treatment might be initiated and unnecessary treatments might be avoided.
