Publication: Çocuk Hastanesi Servislerinde Yatan Hastaların Ebeveynlerinin Memnuniyet Düzeyi ve Etkileyen Etmenlerin Araştırılması
Abstract
Amaç: Sağlık hizmetlerinde kalite ölçütü olarak hasta memnuniyetinin ölçülmesi çok önemlidir. Hasta memnuniyeti sonuçları, kalite değerlendirmesinde, sağlık bakım hizmetlerinin şekillenmesinde ve yönetiminde çok değerlidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Hastanesinde yatan hastaların ebeveyinlerinin memnuniyet düzeylerini ve bunu etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektir.Yöntem: Kesitsel tipteki bu araştırma, hastane servislerinde yatan 300 hastada, Ekim-Kasım 2009 talihinde yüz yüze gözlem altında anket tekniği kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, araştırmacılar tarafından daha önce yapılmış çalışmalar da dikkate alınarak hazırlanan 66 soruluk anket formu kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Araştırmaya, hastanede yatan 302 hastadan 300'ü (%99) katıldı. Araştırmaya katılanların % 88,7'i hastaneden genel olarak memnun olduğunu belirtti. Katılımcıların hastaneyi tercih etmelerindeki en sık neden şevkti (%54,6). Araştırmada hastaların % 21,7'sini bir yaş altı çocuklar, % 23,3 'ünü 1 ile 5 yaş arasındaki çocuklar, % 55'ini 5 yaş üzeri çocukların oluşturduğu bulundu. Ebeveynlerin % 55'inin ilkokul mezunu, % 36,6'sım ortaokul ve lise sadece % 5,3'ünün yüksek okul mezunu olduğu bulundu. Çocuklarını ilk defa getirenlerin yüzdesi %49. Hastaların genel memnuniyet düzeyleri ile hastane personelinin davranışları ve hastanenin fiziki koşulları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulundu (p<0.05).Sonuç: Bu tür çalışmalarla hastanelerin etkin ve verimli bir şekilde hizmet kalitesini arttırması ve toplumun beklentilerine cevap vermesi sağlanabilir.Anahtar sözcükler: Yatan hasta, Memnuniyet, Kalite, Hastane
The Evaluation of the Satisfaction of Parents who applied to the Ondokuz Mayıs University Children's HospitalBackground: Patient satisfaction is very important to evaluate the level of quality in health care services. Outcomes of this evaluation are important in quality assessments, shaping and managing health care services.Aim: The aim of this study was to determine the satisfaction level of parents whom children were hospitalized and the associated factors in Ondokuz Mayıs University Children's HospitalMethod: The study was designed as cross-sectional. Face to face interviews were conducted with parent's of 300 patients who were hospitalized between October 2009-November 2009. The questionnaire included 66 questions which were prepared in the light of the existing literature.Results: Among the 302 hospitalized patients, 300 (99%) participated in the study. 88.7% of the participants reported satisfaction regarding the general hospital care. The most frequent factor for preferring this hospital was related to consigmnent (54.6%o). In the study, 21.7 % of patients were under 1 year-old children, 23.3% were between 1 and 5 years-old , 55 % were over 5 years old, 55% of parents were primary school graduates, 25.7% were secondary and high school graduates, only 5.3 % were collage graduate or higher. Parents bringing their children for the first time were % 49 of all parents. There was a statistically significant relationship between the general satisfaction level and the hospital personnels' attitudes as well as the physical conditions of the hospital (p<0.05).Conclusion: Addressing these issues may improve the quality of on going care in hospitals and may cover the needs of society.Keywords: Hospitalized patient, Satisfaction, Quality, Hospital
