Publication: Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Liderlik Özellikleri ile Başarı Yönelimleri Arasındaki İlişki: Samsun İl Örneği
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı spor bilimleri öğrencilerinin liderlik özellikleri ile başarı yönelimleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmaya Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Yaşar Doğu Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören 18-35 yaş arasındaki 320 gönüllü öğrenci katılmıştır. Katılımcılar blok rastgele şekline uygun olacak bir şekilde, serbest zamanlarında veri toplama işlemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılara araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen, 9 sorudan oluşan demografik bilgi anketi, 2 x 2 Başarı Yönelimleri Ölçeği (26 soru) ve Liderlik Yönelim Ölçeği (32 soru) uygulanmıştır. Bölüm ile liderlik alt boyutlarında insana yönelik liderlik, Yapıya yönelik liderlik ve karizmatik liderlik ile anlamlı farklılık görülürken, dönüşümsel liderlik alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık görülmemiştir. Bölüm ile başarı yönelimlerinin karşılaştırılması incelendiğinde başarı yönelimi alt boyutlarından öğrenme yaklaşma alt boyutu hariç diğer alt boyutlar olan öğrenme kaçınma, performans yaklaşma ve performans kaçınma ile bölümler arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir (p< ,001). Bu araştırmada cinsiyet ile Liderlik ve Başarı yönelimleri alt boyutları arasında da anlamlı farklılık bulunmamıştır (p>0,05). Liderlik ile Başarı yönelim alt boyutları arasındaki ilişkide, insana yönelik liderlik ile diğer liderlik alt boyutları ve öğrenme yaklaşma, performans yaklaşma arasında pozitif orta düzeyde bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Yapıya yönelik liderlik, dönüşümsel ve karizmatik liderlik ile liderlik ve başarı yönelimleri alt boyutları arasında pozitif orta düzeyde bir ilişki görülmüştür. Yaşın liderliğe etkisi bulunurken, Başarı yönelim alt boyutlarında ise performans yaklaşma sadece etkisi bulunmuştur. Boy uzunluğunun başarı yönelim ve liderliğe etkisi görülmüştür. Vücut ağırlığının Liderlik ve Başarı yönelim alt boyutlarına etkisi bulunmuştur. Cinsiyet, Anne eğitim durumu ve spor türünün Liderlik ve Başarı yönelimleri alt boyutlarına etkisi bulunmamıştır.
Of this research is to examine the relationship between the leadership characteristics and success orientation of sports science students. 320 volunteer students between the ages of 18-35, researcing at Ondokuz Mayıs University Yaşar Doğu Faculty of Sport Sciences, participated in our research. Data collection was carried out in their free time in accordance with the block randomization of the participants. The demographic information questionnaire consisting of 9 questions, 2 x 2 Achievement Orientation Scale (26 questions), and Leadership orientation scale (32 questions) developed by the researcher were applied to the participants. While a significant difference was calculated between the departmental and leadership sub-dimensions with leadership towards human, leadership towards structure, and charismatic leadership, no significant difference was observed in the transformational leadership sub-dimension.When we look at the comparison of departmental and achievement orientations, significant differences were calculated between the sub-dimensions of achievement orientation, learning-avoidance, performance-approach, and performance-avoidance, and the departments (p <, 001). In our research, no significant difference was calculated between gender and leadership and success orientations sub-dimensions (p> 0.05). In the relationship between leadership and success orientation sub-dimensions, a moderate positive relationship was calculated between leadership towards people and other leadership sub-dimensions and learning-approach, performance-approach. A moderate positive correlation has been observed between structural leadership, transformational and charismatic leadership, and leadership and success orientations sub-dimensions. While age has an effect on leadership, performance-approach only has an effect on success orientation sub-dimensions. The effect of height on success orientation and leadership has been observed. The effect of body weight on leadership and success orientation sub-dimensions was found. There was no effect of gender, mother's education level, and sport type on leadership and success orientation sub-dimensions.
