Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinde algılanan duygusal istismar ve ruminasyon ilişkisinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi'nin farklı bölümlerde okuyan 427 öğrenci (221'i kadın, 206'sı erkek) oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada öğrencilerin algılanan duygusal istismar düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla Yetişkinler İçin Algılanan Duygusal İstismar Ölçeği, ruminasyon düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla Ruminasyon Ölçeği Kısa Formu uygulanmıştır. Demografik veriler için araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin test edilmesinde çok değişkenli varyans analizi ve pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin algılanan duygusal istismar ve ruminasyon düzeyinin anne, baba eğitim durumu ve cinsiyetle ilişkili olmadığı ancak algılanan sosyo-ekonomik gelirin algılanan duygusal istismar ve ruminasyonla ilişkili olduğu bulunmuştur. Aynı zamanda, algılanan duygusal istismar ve ruminasyon düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.
The purpose of this study is to examine the Relationship between Perceived Emotional Abuse and Rumination among University Students. 427 students of the Ondokuz Mayıs University constituted the sample of the study, 221 of which were females and 206 were males. In order to understand the level of perceived emotional abuse among the students, the study applied the 'Perceived Emotional Abuse Scale for Adults', and for understanding rumination levels, it applied the 'Short Form of Rumination Scale (RS_short)'. In terms of demographic data, the author prepared and applied a 'Personal Information Form'. The relationship between the perceived emotional abuse and rumination levels among university students was analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. As a result, no relation was found between parental education and gender, and perceived emotional abuse and rumination level; whereas perceived income was found to be relational. Additionally, a medium level positive relation was found between perceived emotional abuse and rumination levels.
