Publication: Sedanter Kadınlarda Reformer Egzersizinin Yaşam Kalitesi ve Sağlık Algısı Üzerine Etkileri
Abstract
Aim: To examine the effects of reformer exercise on quality of life and health perception in sedentary women. Material and Method: 20 sedentary women between the ages of 18-45 participated voluntarily in the province of Samsun. Data collection was carried out face to face before and after the 8-week Reformer exercises. Demographic information, performance measurement tests, health perception, general quality of life and finally atigue inventories developed by the researcher were applied to the participants. Reformer exercises were applied for 8 weeks, 2 days a week for 60 minutes. Pre-test and post-test measurements were taken 2 days after the exercises and 2 days after the exercises were completed. Results: In the study, when we look at the physical and strong changes before and after the training, a significant difference was calculated in all parameters except for the left hand grip. Comparing the sub-dimensions of the Fatigue questionnaire according to the pre and post-training, the meaningful difference in the sub-dimensions of fatigue and concentration was not calculated. In comparing the sub-dimensions of the Perception of Health questionnaire pre and post training, The effect of training on the secretion perception questionnaire sub-dimensions was not calculated. Conclusion: In the study, the effect of reformer exercise on motor performances before and after training was observed. Reformer exercises have been found to increase health perception and quality of life in women.
