Fibrous hamartoma of infancy is a rare benign soft tissue tumor presenting during the first two years of life and occuring as a subcutaneous fibrous tissue proliferation. The common sites of the involvement are axillary region, upper arms, upper extremity, inguinal and external genital areas. Clinically, it needs to be distinguished from lymphadenopathy and other soft tissue tumors. The surgical excision is the choice of treaetment. A 9-month-old male infant was admitted with a subcutaneous painless mass on the left axilla occured six mounths after BCG vaccine. The mass was irregular and it was excised under general anaesthesia. Its dimension was 2 x 1 x 1 cm. Histopathologic examination revealed a fibrous hamartoma of infancy. Recurrence hasn't been detected. This case was presented to stress the fibrous hamartoma of infancy which is an important entity, leads to frequent confusion of lymphadenopathy and other soft tissue tumors.
