Poly[[Triaquacadmium(II)-Mu(3)-Lactato] Dilactatoboron(1-)]

Abstract

In the title compound, {[Cd(C<inf>3</inf>H<inf>5</inf>O<inf>3</inf>)(H <inf>2</inf>O)<inf>3</inf>](C<inf>6</inf>H<inf>8</inf>BO<inf>6</inf>)} <inf>n</inf>, the Cd atom is seven-coordinate. The Cd-O distances range from 2.290 (3) to 2.518 (2) Å. The structure is stabilized by a network of O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the H atoms of the lactate in the cation and the O atoms of the borodilactate anion. © 2005 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
