Abstract

SUMMARY In this research done upon divorced and undivarced families; the varieties such as, marriages by dating and by matchmaking the couples' education level, emplayment and unemployment of wives and time factor are examined. The research is done inside the borders of Samsun among 100 families including 356 people. The varieties related to the research are measured with Evalvation Means of Family Structure (EMFS) and the measurements are analyzed by F and T tests. Error rate is.5f> While the level of family relationship of the couples married by dating is higher than the couples married by matchmaking, the diffrence between the means of the points of Leading marriage got by married and divorced couples isn't important. Leading family of married couples is higher (healtier) than divorced couples'. It is seen that the satisfaction levels of married couples are higher than divorced couples'. The difference of the communication points which divorced couples got according to their education level isn't important, but their satisfaction points are important. No meaningful difference about the level of resistance in the family isn't seen among the children who have divorced and undivorced families. It is seen that the satisfaction levels of unemployed wives in the divorced family in family structure and function are higher than working women's The longer marriage period lasts, the higher the level of leading marriage and family structure is.
