Salnâmeler Işığında Tanzimat'tan Cumhuriyet'e Sinop Eğitim Tarihi (1839-1923)

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Tanzimat Dönemi'nden Cumhuriyet'e kadar olan zaman diliminde Sinop sancağında ki eğitim öğretim faaliyetlerini, döneminin şartlarına göre sancağın eğitim alanındaki ilerleme ve değişimlerini konu edinmiştir. 1839 ve 1923 yılları arasında eğitim öğretimdeki yenilikleri ve tüm bunların Sinop sancağındaki topluma yansımalarını tespit etmek için vilâyet, maârif ve devlet salnâmelerinden, Ankara Milli Kütüphanesinden, Sinop Halk Kütüphanesinden, Sinop Üniversitesi Merkez Kütüphanesinden, Sinop Öğretmenevinden, Sinop ilinin bahsi geçen dönemlerde yayımladığı Sinop Resmi gazetesinden yararlanılmıştır. Üç bölüm olarak düzenlenen tezin ilk bölümünde Sinop sancağının coğrafi özellikleri, tarihi ve idari yapısından bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde; Sinop eğitim tarihi başlığı altında Tanzimat Dönemi'ne kadar Sinop şehrinde yürütülen eğitim faaliyetlerine değinilmiştir. Üçüncü bölüm ise asıl tez konumuzu oluşturmakta olup Tanzimat sonrası Osmanlı Devleti'nde eğitimde yenileşme hareketleri konu edilmiş ve salnâmeler ışığında Sinop sancağındaki okulların durumları, eğitimci kadroları, öğrenci sayıları, maârif meclisleri Amasya sancağı ile mukayeseli olarak ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. The subject of this study is the education activities in Sinop sanjak in the time period from Tanzimat to the Repubic, and the progress ang changes in the education field of the sanjak according to the condititons of that period. In order to determine education and trainning reforms between the years 1839 and 1923 in Sinop sanjak; province, education and state yearbooks, National Library of Turkey, Sinop Teacher's House, Sinop Public Libraray, Sinop University Central Library and the official newspapers of that time were utilized. This dissertation consists of three sections. In the first section, the geographical features, historical and administrative structures have been mentioned. In the second section, the education activities which have been carried out until the Tanzimat period in Sinop sanjak have been presented. Composing the main subject of the thesis, the third section presents the educational reforms in the Ottomans after Tanzimat period, and in the light of yearbooks, the status of schools, teaching staff, number of students and education councils were presented by comparing with the ones in Amasya sanjak.
