Web Destekli Yapılandırılmış Gridlerin Uygulanabilirliğinin Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada İlköğretim 8. sınıf fen ve teknoloji öğretim programında yer alan `Canlılar ve Enerji İlişkileri? ünitesi için geliştirilen klasik ve web tasarımlı yapılandırılmış gridlerin öğrencilerin başarılarına, fen ve teknoloji dersi ile bilgisayara yönelik tutumlarına olan etkisi araştırılmıştır. Yarı deneysel gerçekleşen bu çalışma 2010-2011 eğitim öğretim bahar. Yarıyılında Samsun ili Atakum ilçesindeki bir ilköğretim okulunda 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören 36 deney, 36 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 72 öğrencinin katılımıyla yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda araştırıcı tarafından klasik ve web tasarımlı yapılandırılmış gridler geliştirilmiştir. Deney grubuna web destekli yapılandırılmış grid, kontrol grubuna ise klasik yöntemle yapılandırılmış grid uygulaması yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak başarı testi, fen ve teknoloji tutum ölçeği ile bilgisayar tutum ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarıyla elde edilen veriler SPSS 18.0 istatistik paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Başarı testinden elde edilen bulgulara göre son test sonuçlarında deney grubu öğrencilerinin ortalama puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu ve istatistiksel açıdan kontrol grubundan önemli bir farklılığı olduğu görülmüştür (t(70)= 4,357, p<0,05). Ayrıca fen ve teknoloji tutum ölçeğinin son test sonuçlarına göre fen ve teknoloji dersine karşı kontrol grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark görülmüştür (t(70) = 2,962, p<0.05). Deney grubunda bilgisayar tutum ölçeğinden elde edilen ön test son test verilerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık görülmemiştir (t(35)= 0,700, p>0,05). Araştırmadan elde edilen verilerden hareketle web tasarımlı yapılandırılmış gridlerin öğrencilerin başarısında, fen ve teknoloji dersine karşı tutumlarında etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. In this study, classic and web designed structural grids were investigated the effects on students? achievement, attitudes towards science and technology lessons and using computers developed for `Living Things and Energy Relations? unit found in 8. Grade science and technology curriculum. With quary-experimental research desing, the study was carried out at spring term in 2010-2011. Samples consisted of total 72 students (control group=36, experimental group=36) attending at a primary school in Atakum-Samsun. In this direction, the materials (classic and web designed structural grids) were developed by the research before the study. The classic materials were used in the control group during the teaching process. Also the web designed materials were used in the experimental group at the same way. In order to data collect, achievement test, attitude tests towards using computer and science and technology lesson were performed to the two groups as pre test-post test. The data obtained from the data collecting tools were analysed with the help of SPSS 18.0 statistics package program. According to the results obtained from the achievement test, arithmetic mean for achievement was higher in the experiment group in terms of the control group and an important difference was seen as statistical (t(70)= 4,357, p< 0,05). Besides, a significant difference according to post test results of the science and technology attitudes test were found in benefit of control group after the research (t(70)= 2,962, p< 0,05). In terms of the results obtained from the computer attitudes scala an important difference weren?t seen in the experimental group (t(35)= 0,700, p> 0,05). As a result of the research, web designed structural grids were determined to have effects on students? success, attitudes towards science and technology lessons.
