Abstract

The reaction of endo-cis-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-diol with BCl<inf>3</inf> followed by acetylation with acetyl chloride gives dichloroconduritol derivatives. The crystal structure of the title compound, C<inf>10</inf>H<inf>12</inf>Cl<inf>2</inf>O<inf>4</inf>, has been investigated.
