We determined the effect of models that students developed and used in the instruction on 'Magnets and relation of current-magnetic fields' in connecting these topics with daily life. The research design was a quasi-experimental one with a control group. The study was completed with 46 students enrolled in a high school in Turkey. The data were obtained with a 'Daily Life Relationship Questionnaire'. It was found out that models that 10th grade students in the experimental group developed and used about 'Magnets and their relation to current-magnetic fields' contributed to the students' association of these topics with daily life.en_US
